Omnimovement

Omnimovement lets you sprint in every direction, not just forward, with a small, configurable speed penalty for strafing and backpedalling. It also adds horse-style auto step-up so you walk smoothly over 1-block ledges without jumping.

Features

• Omnidirectional Sprint – Sprint sideways and backward, not only forward
• Configurable Penalty – Tune the strafe and backward speed (default: slightly slower than forward)
• Auto Step-Up – Step up a 1-block ledge automatically, like a horse
• Sprint-Only by Default – Auto-step kicks in while sprinting; toggle it off to step while walking too, or disable it entirely
• Server Gamerules – Enable/disable omnidirectional sprint and auto-step server-wide (both default on)
• In-Game Config – Cloth Config screen (via Mod Menu on Fabric); sprint speeds are server-owned, auto-step is your personal client-side preference
• Vanilla-Friendly – No new items or blocks; just smoother movement

Compatibility

Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, across Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21–1.21.11. Vanilla clients can join servers running it, and the mod falls back to vanilla movement when the server doesn’t have it.
