# Villager Life

 

Ever wondered what it’s actually like to be a villager? This mod lets you find out. You start as a tiny baby villager in the hospital of Emeraldia (a walled villager city) and live your whole life from there. Grow up, go to school, get a job, maybe even become King one day. And when you die, you start all over again as a new baby with a new family.

 

## How it works

 

Every Minecraft day is one year of your life, so you’ll get a birthday every day (with fireworks and presents from your parents). You start off really small and slow, and grow up over time. Babies can’t talk, little kids can’t break blocks, and you can’t trade until you’re 10. Most villagers live to around 75, but if you’re really lucky you might make it to 121.

 

## Your family

 

You get a Mum and a Dad, and they actually have their own lives. They go to work during the day, come home for dinner, and go to bed at night. When you’re a baby they carry you around, and when you’re little they hold your hand so you can’t run off. They’ll walk you to school in the morning and pick you up after (they wait outside, they don’t follow you into class lol). If you’re out too late they’ll come find you and drag you home for dinner.

 

There’s also a small chance you’ll get a brother, a sister or even a twin.

 

## School

 

School starts at 6. Your classmates come in one at a time, the teacher goes up to the board and actually teaches the lesson, then asks the class a question you can answer. You only get credit for lessons you actually stay for, so no skipping! You’ll get homework too, which you can do with your Mum or Dad when you get home. Get your Primary, Secondary and University diplomas to unlock better jobs.

 

## Jobs

 

There are loads of jobs: farmer, fisherman, shopkeeper, blacksmith, librarian, guard, teacher, doctor, banker, government minister, and of course King.

 

The best part is that customers come to you while you’re working, and what they ask for actually fits your job. If you work at the bank, someone might ask you to deposit 50 emeralds, so you take their card, use the ZOOM machine, and hand it back. As a doctor you have to give patients the right medicine, as a librarian you find the book they want, and as a guard you have to chase down thieves. Every job has its own thing going on.

 

## Money

 

Emeralds are the money here. When you turn 16 you get your own ZOOM bank card (I made a custom item for it) so you can keep your money safe, get paid and send money to other players.

 

## Start your own company

 

If you did well at school and uni, you can start your own business: a bakery, a flower shop, a builders or a redstone tech company. It gets its own building in the city, you’re the boss, and you can hire workers to make more money.

 

## Your house

 

When your parents pass away, the house becomes yours, but so does the rent. Pay it every week or you’ll get kicked out. Or if you save up enough, you can just buy the house and never pay rent again.

 

## The city

 

The city is built automatically when you make a new world. It has a hospital, school, palace, bank, library, market, smithy, farm, jail and a bunch of houses, all with a big wall around it. If you try to leave as a kid, your parents will come and take you home. If you try it as an adult… you’re going to jail.

Press H to hide or show the life HUD.
