Minecarts Reborn

Minecarts made useful again, and steam trains you assemble yourself. NeoForge 1.21.1, by TankJesus.

Minecarts

• Two-Seat Minecart: ride with a friend.
• Miner Minecart: picks up the ores lying around it and stores them.
• Builder Minecart: bores a tunnel ahead of it and lays the rails from its chest.
• Cannon Minecart: a field gun on rails (see Cannons below).

Steam trains

• Locomotive: shift + right-click opens its boiler.
  • Coal or charcoal: normal running.
  • Lava bucket: long burn.
  • Blaze rod: speed boost, with flames from the chimney.
• Train Crane: a big crafting station that sits on a straight rail. You assemble trains in it from parts you craft: Boiler, Platform, Wheel and Chimney.
  • Planet: early steam loco with working rods, crosshead and throttle lever. Its driver stands.
  • Narrow Gauge: small green loco.
  • Passenger Wagon: shift + right-click to couple it to a Planet or a Narrow Gauge. It follows without bumping into the loco.

Cannons

• Cannon Minecart and Static Cannon. The Static Cannon is placed on a stone base and turns up to 180°.
• Sit at the cannon, then:
  • press R to reload (uses a Shell);
  • hold right-click to aim (zoom);
  • left-click to fire while aiming.
• Shells explode on impact without breaking blocks.

• Wide 3D rails: normal, powered, detector, activator, slopes and curves.
• Animated wheels and rods.
• 3D item icons.
• A dedicated creative tab.
• The Arakioss: a small cave creature that steals ores from your Miner Minecarts, 4 at a time. Hunt it down to get them back.

Crafting table:

• Two-Seat Minecart: wooden slabs, a lantern, 3 minecarts.
• Miner Minecart: an iron pickaxe, 2 barrels, a minecart.
• Builder Minecart: a chest, a diamond pickaxe, a minecart, a piston.
• Boiler: a furnace, a hopper, iron ingots.
• Locomotive: a Boiler over a minecart.
• Cannon: a stick, flint and steel, a copper ingot, an iron block.
• Cannon Minecart: a Cannon over a minecart.
• Static Cannon: a Cannon, a piston, 3 stone.
• Shell: gunpowder, a copper ingot, an iron ingot.
• Train Crane: iron ingots, yellow dye, a crafting table, 2 iron blocks.
• Platform: 3 planks, 2 iron ingots.
• Wheel: an iron ingot, 4 iron nuggets.
• Chimney: a campfire, 4 iron ingots.
