nicheteams

What it does

Teams

Create a team with a name and a short tag, then invite players or accept join requests.
Owners can kick members, rename the team, and change its tag and color.
Team chat toggle (/nicheteams tm) sends messages only to your teammates.
Owner-toggleable settings: friendly fire, seeing invisible teammates (glow highlight), join requests, and whether the tag shows in chat and tab. A clickable menu (/nicheteams settings) makes changing them easy.

Tag colors

Pick any vanilla color, a hex color like #FF8800, a multi-color gradient like #FF0000,#0000FF, or RAINBOW.

Economy

Each team can create its own currency with a name and tag.
Currency is generated into the account after a delay, and players can check each other’s balances.
Withdraw currency into an item and right-click it to deposit it again, so players can trade it. Admins choose which item is used.
Team owners can give their currency a custom icon, a PNG of 16×16 pixels or less, stored on the server and shown in chat as pixel art.

Admin tools

A clickable config menu in chat (/nicheteamsAdmin config).
Set member cap, name and tag length limits, and the currency item.
Block specific teams from changing their settings, or edit a team’s settings directly.
Give, remove or finish pending currency for players, remove a team’s icon, and wipe all data with a confirmation code.

Placeholder API support

Built-in [TAG] prefixes on names are off by default. Admins can turn them on separately for chat, the tab list and above heads.
Or leave them off and use %nicheteams:tag%, %nicheteams:prefix%, %nicheteams:team_name% and %nicheteams:currency_name% in a chat, tab or scoreboard mod that supports Placeholder API.

Fabric Loader and Fabric API
Minecraft 26.3 and Java 25
Placeholder API is bundled, no separate install needed

/nicheteams create <teamName> <teamTag> Create a new team and become its owner
/nicheteams disband Disbands the team (Team Owner Command)
/nicheteams leave Leave the current team you are in
/nicheteams join <teamName> Send a join request to the team owner
/nicheteams accept <playerName> Accept the players join request (Team Owner Command)
/nicheteams deny <playerName> Deny the players join request (Team Owner Command)
/nicheteams invite <playerName> Send a team invitation to a player for them to join (Team Owner Command)
/nicheteams invAccept <teamName> Accept the owner invite
/nicheteams invDeny <teamName> Deny the owners invite
/nicheteams info Show info about the team, Team Name, Team Tag, Owner, Members
/nicheteams settings Shows the teams settings available and buttons to change them (Team Owner Command)
/nicheteams set <name|tag|color> <value> Chose a value to change and set a name, tag or color. Color accepts a color name, a hex color like #FF8800, a gradient like #FF0000,#0000FF, or RAINBOW (Team Owner Command)
/nicheteams kick <playerName> Kick a player from the team (Team Owner Command)
