Apothic Tooltip Toggle

Press Alt once to show everything. Press it again to hide it.

A fork of Apothic Tooltip Cleanup by Nightwielder23. It cleans up the long, cluttered tooltips from Apotheosis, but instead of making you hold Alt the whole time you read an item, Alt now works as a toggle.

What’s different

• Alt is a toggle. One press reveals all hidden details, the next press hides them again. The state stays until you press Alt again.
• Hold mode still available. Set alt_behavior = "hold" in the config to get the original behavior.
• Everything else works exactly like the original mod.

Features

• Truncate affix lists: show all, show the top N (default 3), or hide them until revealed
• Hide or reveal the affix prefix and suffix in item names
• Hide the summary block (Cold/Fire/HP%/Spell Resistance lines)
• Hide the “ignores X% of durability damage” line
• Hide potion style affix descriptions
• Hide the cooldown [MM:SS] markers and [Stacking] tags
• Compact gem tooltips (full, compact, ultra, or hidden)
• Hide specific affixes or gem categories from the tooltip
• Merge empty sockets into one summary line
• Sort affixes in default or alphabetical order

Each hideable feature has three modes: show (always visible), alt (hidden until you press Alt) and delete (always hidden).

Configuration

The config file is config/apothic_tooltip_toggle-client.toml. It uses the same options as the original mod, plus:

Installation

• Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47+
• Client side only. The server does not need it, but every player who wants it must install it.
• Apotheosis is a soft dependency: the mod does nothing without it.
• Remove Apothic Tooltip Cleanup before installing this one, since both handle the same tooltips. If you had a config for the original, copy your settings into the new file.
