Capture mobs, bosses, and even other players in glass bottles. Keep a creeper on your shelf, unleash the Wither on a rival’s base, or capture a player at 3 hearts and trade their bottle, stash it in a chest, or put it on display.

Capture mobs and bosses

Capture: Right-click a mob with an empty glass bottle.
Release: Right-click a block with the filled bottle.
Tamed pets: You can only bottle pets you own.

Mobs keep their name, health, gear, and other data. You can also capture the Wither, Ender Dragon, Warden, and Elder Guardian.

Capture players

Get your target down to 3 hearts or less, with no absorption.
Hold an empty glass bottle in your main hand and an ender pearl in your offhand.
Sneak and right-click the target. PvP and team rules still apply.

Captured players keep their inventory and can still chat from their glass cell. They can’t fight, build, or escape, and logging out keeps them bottled.

Whoever holds the bottle can release the player. Player bottles can be stolen, traded, displayed, or stored in chests.

With the mod installed on your client, you’ll see a miniature version of the captured mob or player inside the bottle.

Server configuration

Edit world/serverconfig/mobbottle-server.toml to change the capture rules.

`mobs.blacklist`	`[]`	Blocks specific mobs, such as `["minecraft:villager"]`
`players.enabled`	`true`	Allows player captures
`players.maxTargetHealth`	`6`	Maximum health for player capture. `6` health points equals 3 hearts.
`players.requireEnderPearl`	`true`	Consumes one ender pearl per player capture
`players.maxCaptivityMinutes`	`0`	Automatically frees players after this many minutes. `0` disables automatic release.

Operator commands

Command	What it does
`/playerbottle list`	Lists all captured players
`/playerbottle rescue <name>`	Frees a captured player and destroys their bottle, even if it’s lost

Installation

Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.23 or newer.
Server: Put the mod .jar in the server’s mods folder.
Client: Optional. Install the mod to see miniature mobs and players inside bottles. Players can join with or without it.

Built for anarchy, PvP, and faction servers.
