Nawia

**A Slavic horror mod for Minecraft. The longer you play, the closer Nawia gets.**

Nawia is the land of the dead from Slavic beliefs. In this mod it slowly seeps into your world. The first nights are quiet… maybe too quiet. Then something starts to change. Footsteps behind your back. Doors you’re sure you closed. A shape at the edge of the forest that is gone when you look again.

The dread doesn’t hit all at once: it **grows day by day**, and the world remembers what you do in it.

## What awaits you

– 🌲 **Creatures from Slavic folklore**: spirits of the forest, water, fields, home and weather. Some hunt, some only watch. Some are better left alone. And some can help, if you treat them well.
– 😱 **Real jumpscares**: not just a picture on the screen. Something bursts out from behind a tree, a hill or from under the water and runs straight at you.
– 🌫️ **Atmosphere**: night fog, whispers, sounds out of nowhere, extinguished torches, nightmares in your sleep. Even the main menu isn’t safe.
– 🏚️ **A new world to explore**: abandoned huts, traces of those who were here before you, great bonfires burning in the wilderness, and more villages.
– 📜 **Notes and a bestiary**: find scraps of other people’s stories and learn what lurks in the dark.
– ⚔️ **New gear**: a forged armour set, a weapon and tools, plus trophies from what you manage to defeat.
– 👑 **A summoned boss**: for those who dare to call him.
– 🏆 **Advancements**: the hidden ones. They tend to show up at the worst possible moment.

## Difficulty

When creating a world you choose the Nawia difficulty: **Mild**, **Normal** or **Nightmare**. Each changes how fast the dread grows and how often things happen. You can also set how thick the Nawia fog is – from dense to none.
