Chest Spotlight

Stop digging through 54 slots of cobblestone. Open any chest, press T, and type what you’re looking for.

Features

• 🔍 Instant search – a search bar appears above the container when you press T.
• ✨ Clear highlighting – matching items get a golden outline and everything else is dimmed.
• 📌 Found items stay marked – press Enter to close the search and the items you found keep their outline until you move your mouse over them.
• 🖱️ Grab and go – if you forget Enter, the search closes by itself as soon as you pick up an item or shift-click it. Once you take one of the found items, the marks on the other matches disappear.
• ⌨️ Normal controls – Esc closes the search and the container together, like always. While you type, E goes into the search bar; with the search closed it closes the container as usual.
• 🖱️ Click away to cancel – click an empty slot or outside the container and only the search closes; the container stays open.
• 🌍 Your language – follows the game language (also the description in Mod Menu), translated into 27 languages. Item names are searched in the language you’re playing in.
• 🪶 Client-side only – no server install needed, no gameplay changes. Works on any server.

How to use

1. Open a chest, barrel, ender chest or shulker box.
2. Press T and type, for example diamond, espada or oak planks.
3. Press Enter to close the bar and keep the results marked, or Esc to leave the container.

You can search by item name (accents don’t matter) or by its id (diamond_sword or diamond sword). With several words, all of them must match.

The highlight also covers your own inventory and hotbar while the container is open.

Notes

• The T key is the physical key position of T (Minecraft 26.3 uses physical keys for input).
• Works with the vanilla chest and shulker box screens. Containers added by other mods may not be supported.
