INTERA is a roguelite gameplay expansion for Minecraft built around card-based progression, increasingly difficult enemy waves, dynamic quests, and challenging boss encounters.

Develop your character through a unique upgrade system featuring over 300 cards, experiment with different combinations, and adapt your build as the difficulty continues to increase. Survive nightly waves, complete daytime quests, explore new structures, and discover what awaits beyond the regular encounters.

With hundreds of upgrades, over 500 quest variations, multiple difficulty scaling options, and additional content to discover throughout the world, every run offers new possibilities.

Features

Card-Based Progression

The core of INTERA is its card-based upgrade system.

As you level up, you’ll be presented with three randomly selected cards to choose from. Each selection contributes to your character’s build, allowing you to develop different playstyles, discover synergies, and experiment with hundreds of possible combinations.

With over 300 unique cards, there are plenty of ways to customize your experience.

Progression is designed with guaranteed rewards at specific levels. These progression guarantees ensure that players cannot become soft-locked by unfavorable card selections, keeping advancement possible even when random selections don’t go their way.

Nightly Enemy Waves

Survival becomes increasingly difficult as the nightly waves progress.

INTERA introduces a wave-based enemy system that gradually increases in difficulty, challenging players to continually improve their builds and prepare for stronger encounters.

Each wave presents a choice: defeat the incoming enemies before sunrise or survive until daytime.

However, your decisions have consequences.

Wave Rewards:

• Defeat the entire wave before sunrise to earn its XP reward.

• Survive until sunrise without defeating the wave to end the encounter, but forfeit its XP reward.

• Successfully defeating a wave unlocks an additional daytime quest.

Your performance determines how much progress you make, creating a balance between survival and taking on the challenge.

Boss Waves

Boss encounters follow different rules. Boss waves cannot end simply by waiting for sunrise. The boss must be defeated before the encounter can be completed.

Daytime Quest System

Surviving the night is only part of the adventure.

Successfully defeating a nightly wave rewards you with a daytime quest, providing another opportunity to earn XP and continue progressing your character.

INTERA features 5 different quest types with over 500 unique quest variations, offering a wide variety of objectives throughout your runs.

Complete your assigned objectives during the day, earn additional experience, and prepare for the next wave.

With hundreds of variations, daytime quests add another layer of variety and give players something to work toward between encounters.

Boss Battles

In addition to regular enemy waves, INTERA features dedicated boss encounters.

These battles introduce additional challenges that test your character’s build and progression.

Boss waves cannot be skipped by waiting for daylight, requiring players to defeat the encounter before moving forward.

There is also a secret boss encounter waiting to be discovered by players willing to look beyond the expected.

INTERA includes dedicated interfaces to help players keep track of their progression and available content.

INTERA introduces a new achievement line, giving players additional objectives to work toward as they explore the mod’s features and progress through their runs.

Combined with the card system, enemy waves, daytime quests, and boss encounters, there are multiple ways to challenge yourself and experience the content.

Run Difficulty & Scaling

INTERA includes multiple run-scaling options, allowing players to adjust the difficulty and challenge of their runs.

Combined with progressively difficult waves, hundreds of upgrade cards, and varied quest objectives, these options provide additional replayability and opportunities to experiment with different builds.

Installation Guide

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.11

• NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.11

Installation Guide

1. Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.11.

2. Download the INTERA .jar file from the CurseForge Files section.

3. Open your Minecraft installation directory.

4. Locate the mods folder. If one doesn’t exist, create it.

5. Place the downloaded INTERA .jar file directly into the mods folder.

6. Launch Minecraft using your NeoForge 1.21.11 installation.

That’s it! INTERA is installed and ready to play.

Important: Do not extract the .jar file. Make sure you’re launching the correct Minecraft version with NeoForge installed.

Development & Future Updates

INTERA is an actively developing project, with additional features, improvements, and content planned for future updates.

The features listed above represent the current scope of the project. More additions and refinements are planned as development continues.
