# Downed Mod

Don’t die instantly: go down, and let your team save you!

When a player would die, they are knocked down instead. They lie on the ground,
can’t move or use items, and have **100 seconds** before they bleed out.

## Features

**Downed state**
– Instead of dying, you fall to the ground with 1 HP
– You can’t move, jump, attack or use items, and you take no damage
– Void damage and /kill still work
– After 100 seconds you bleed out and die

**Rescue by a teammate**
– Another player sneaks next to you for 5 seconds
– Then the rescuer has to pass a **skill check**: a needle spins around a circle,
  press **R** when it is in the white zone
– The rescuer gets 3 attempts. If they hit the zone, you get back up with 20% health
– Every failed attempt gives the rescuer a clownfish

**Last chance**
– When only 15 seconds are left, you get your own skill check
– A very fast needle and a tiny white zone, with only one try
– Hit it and you get back up with 20% health, miss it and you die

**Death**
– When you finally die, the screen turns black with a red “You died” text
– After 3 seconds you respawn at your respawn point
– Logging out while downed counts as death

## Requirements
– Minecraft 1.20.1
– Forge 47.x
– Install on both the **server and all clients**

## Notes
– In-game messages are currently in German
– Not compatible with other mods that change player death
