Mini Halloween Pumpkins – Allay

What is it?

Mini Halloween Pumpkins replaces the Allay with just a pumpkin head: no body, no arms, no wings. The eyes and the mouth are real see-through holes with a glowing yellow inside, and the light flickers like a candle. Every Allay spawns with its own random colour and face.

Features

• 🎃 Pumpkin-only model: a small cube pumpkin with a curved green stem and a flat tilted leaf.
• 👀 See-through eyes and mouth: real holes in the model (not just paint), with a glowing yellow inside.
• 🕯️ Candle flicker: the light inside swaps between 8 frames at random, and each Allay flickers on its own.
• 🎨 3 colours with set odds: light-green zucchini (10%), classic orange (70%) and pastel orange (20%).
• 😈 5 faces: classic, angry, round, sinister and square, rolled together with the colour for 15 looks.
• 🍎 Item in the mouth: whatever the Allay holds is shown inside its mouth.
• 🌀 Soft sway: the pumpkin rocks gently around its base while it floats.
• ✨ Emissive glow (ETF): the inside of the face glows in the dark.
• 🧩 Easy to customise: delete the textures you don’t want and edit one line to keep only some looks.

Variants

The chance of each colour is split equally between its 5 faces.

Requirements

• Minecraft Java Edition 26.3
• Fabric + Entity Model Features (EMF) + Entity Texture Features (ETF)
• OptiFine should also read the files, but it has not been tested.

Installation

1. Install Fabric, EMF and ETF.
2. Put Mini-Halloween-Pumpkins-v1.0.0.zip in your resourcepacks folder.
3. Enable it in Options → Resource Packs. Spawn or find an Allay and enjoy.

FAQ

Do I need an animation mod? No. The sway and the flicker are made with EMF animations.

The glow looks dull. The glow comes from emissive textures, which need ETF. Make sure ETF is installed and emissive textures are enabled in its settings.

The item is not in the right place. Please send a screenshot and your latest.log. The item size and position are set in allay.jem (part cm_body).

Can I keep only some colours or faces? Yes. Delete the allayN.png and allayN_e.png files you don’t want and edit textures.1 and weights.1 in optifine/random/entity/allay/allay.properties. Textures 1-5 are green, 6-10 orange and 11-15 pastel.

Can I use it in a modpack? Please ask first (see the license).
