CCA Resource Fixes

A client-side resource pack for the Cozy Cobble Adventures modpack that fixes broken NPC textures, trainer appearances, and Pokémon render errors caused by incompatibilities between Cobblemon 1.7.3 and several bundled datapacks/mods.

Installation

Drop CCA_Resource_Fixes-1.0.0.zip into your Minecraft resourcepacks/ folder, then enable it in Options → Resource Packs. Place it above (higher priority than) the Generation packs, 201 Trainers, and CobbledLoot packs.

Server operators: place the folder or zip in the server’s resourcepacks/ directory. Players will receive it automatically if you configure resource-pack= in server.properties.

What It Fixes

1. CobbledLoot NPC Ball Textures

CobbledLoot 1.5 spawns custom Pokéball NPCs (Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Master Ball) that dispense loot when clicked. These NPCs appeared as a substitute doll (the missing-texture placeholder) instead of their intended ball shape.

Cause: CobbledLoot places variation files at variations/0_pokeball.json (root level), but Cobblemon 1.7.3 requires each NPC class to have its own subdirectory — variations/pokeball/0_pokeball.json.

Fix: Provides all 4 variation files in the correct subdirectory paths so the ball geo model and texture load correctly.

2. 201 Trainers — All 43 Trainer Types Show Correct Skin

All trainer NPCs spawned by the 201 Trainers 1.6 datapack (joggers, aqua grunts, hikers, rocket grunts, etc.) were showing the wrong or default texture instead of their assigned trainer skin.

Cause: 201 Trainers places all variation files in a shared variations/trainers/ subfolder. Cobblemon 1.7.3’s NPC resolution looks for each class in its own subdirectory — variations/jogger/, variations/aqua/, etc. The shared folder is never read for individual class lookups.

Fix: Provides all 43 trainer class variation files in the correct individual subdirectories, mapping each class to its proper texture and model.

Covered trainer types: aqua, artist, ash, backpacker, baker, biker, bird keeper, black belt, boarder, bug catcher, café master, dragon tamer, engineer, firebreather, fisherman, garçon, gardener, golfer, guitarist, hiker, james, jessie, jogger, magma, model, office worker, officer, Pokémon breeder, Poké maniac, Pokéfan, Poké kid, postman, psychic, rocket grunt, sailor, schoolboy, sky trainer, super nerd, surfer, swimmer, tourist, veteran, youngster

3. Burmy Render Crash

Cobblemon Burmy caused an IllegalStateException: Unable to find a poser crash when rendered. This happened every time a Burmy spawned or was thrown out by a player.

Cause: The Generation 4 resource pack provides Burmy models using aspect keys "plant", "sandy", "trash" — but Cobblemon 1.7.3 assigns Burmy the aspects "plant-cloak", "sandy-cloak", "trash-cloak". None of the Generation 4 resolver entries matched, so no poser could be found.

Fix: Adds a resolver with order: 2 (evaluated before the Generation 4 pack’s order: 3 entries) that maps the -cloak aspect names to the correct Generations posers and models for all three Burmy forms.

Required Packs / Mods

This pack is safe to load without any of these — every fix is additive and non-destructive. But the fixes only have visible effect when the related pack/mod is present.

Load Order

Place this pack above (higher priority than):

• All Generation packs (1-9)
• CobbledLoot 1.5.zip
• 201 Trainers 1.6.zip

This ensures the fixes take precedence over the packs they correct.
