A little more variety. Still OdarIs.

On large areas of grass, stone, or paths, repeating textures can become noticeable. Random Blocks adds carefully matched alternatives, so those surfaces feel a little more natural without looking like different materials.

It’s an optional add-on for OdarIs Base. I only add variation where I think it actually improves the result.

Alpha 0.2 – Halloween Update

This release adds new pumpkin faces alongside the existing terrain variations.

• Terrain: Grass Block Top, Dirt Path Top, Podzol Top, and Stone.
• Halloween: Six alternative Carved Pumpkin faces and six matching Jack o’Lantern faces.
• Lighting: Subtle animated effects for the Jack o’Lantern variants.
• Items: The Jack o’Lantern held in your hand keeps one consistent appearance by design.

Available in 32x, 64x, 128x, 256x, 512x, 1024x, and 2048x.

Installation & load order

OdarIs Base Alpha 0.2 is required. Download the same resolution for both packs, keep the ZIP files intact, and enable Random Blocks above Base in Minecraft’s Resource Packs menu.

You don’t need every add-on. If you use Random Blocks together with Overlay, I recommend adding Random Overlay for matching surface details.

Compatibility & performance

• Edition: Minecraft Java Edition. Check the Files tab for listed game versions.
• Mods: No OptiFine or other mods required.
• Shaders: Optional. Lighting and transparency can look different depending on your settings.
• Resolution: Match Random Blocks to your Base resolution. Larger resolutions use more video memory.
