Create: Atmospherics

Wind, weather, seas and seasons.

Requires: Create 6.0.10 and Sable 2.0.x. Optional: Create Aeronautics (for ships), JEI.

Wind and sails

• Real wind, with gusts, altitude, thermals and ridge lift. It is stronger at sea and changes with the day and night.
• Cut your own sails at the Sail Loft: square, gaff, bermuda, lateen, lug, junk, spritsail, jibs, staysails, studding sails, or a shape you make yourself :D, you can also add banners to them and paint them with dye.
• Place on a Yard, a Mast Hoop or a stay.
• Cloth physics. Self exlpanatory
• Sail handling: reef with an empty hand, brace with sneak, reef by redstone.

Masts, yards and hoops come in wood, andesite, copper and brass, and the metal ones also come in a large size.

Seas and rivers

• Waves that travel: swell from distant weather, wind sea from local wind, surf and run-up on beaches, and tides. Storms build a dangerous sea.
• Worlds get rivers that drain to the sea, with lakes and banks shaped to the land that also have currents
• Shader Compatible

Weather and clouds

• Regional weather that drifts with the clouds.
• Layered clouds
• Rain, snow, wind streaks and leaves drift with the local wind and fade in and out smoothly.
• /atmospherics forecast gives the next twenty minutes where you stand.

Rare events

Over seventy rare sights based on recorded phenomena and sailors’ and aviators’ tales:
tornadoes and supercells, waterspouts, auroras, eclipses, comets, light pillars, ball lightning,
St. Elmo’s fire, roll clouds, mirages, the green flash and many more.

Instruments and flight

• Anemometer, Wind Vane, Climate Sensor, Thermometer and Seasonal Dial
• Display links can show the wind, weather, forecast, season, almanac, temperature and whether an anchor is stowed, falling, holding or dragging.
• The Wind Rider glider rides thermals, ridge lift and rough air. Gliders, elytra and flying ships meet gusts and shear.

Seasons, greenhouses and steam

• Four seasons with their own sky, fog, foliage, crops, day length and weather, and an almanac of seasonal events through the year.
• Greenhouses of any glass hold heat.

Compatibility

• Weather mods: ProtoManly Weather, Weather2 or Simple Clouds can drive the wind.
• Better Clouds follows the mod’s wind and weather.
• Sodium, Iris shader packs and Distant Horizons are supported.
• Create Deep Seas: submarines stay dry under the waves.

Commands

Everything is under /atmospherics. Commands that only read are open to every player. Ones
that change the world need op. /atmospherics help lists them all.
