Vein Keepers
Mining ore wakes the stone.
Vein Keepers makes caves dangerous. Stone guardians live in the rock, and they do not like miners. They come for you, and the more ore you break, the angrier they get.
Requires GeckoLib 4.9.3 or newer. Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.x.
Beta. The mod is still being tested, so health, damage, spawn rates and other numbers may not be perfectly balanced yet. Everything can be tuned in the config, see Configuration. If something feels off, tell me in the issues.
Guardians
Jerry
A stone guardian that roams ore-rich caves. It never hunts on its own: mine ore near it, or hit it, and it comes for you. Has a spawn egg.
- Digs straight through stone and ore to reach you.
- Swallows the ore it digs through and drops all of it when it dies.
- Hits hard (9 damage) and has 50 health.
- Made of stone, so swords are not the best tool to fight with them.
Blocks
Living Stone
Generates as single blocks inside the mountain rock on lower levels, close to the usual stone
- Listens to every ore mined nearby. Each ore adds disturbance; once there is enough, a guardian awakens.
- Changes its look as more ore is mined, so you can tell it is getting restless.
Staying quiet
Ore broken with Silk Touch adds no disturbance. Rarer ore is louder.

Configuration
Open it in game from Mods → Vein Keepers → Config, or edit config/veinkeepers-common.toml.
- Noise radius and how many points wake a Living Stone.
- Points added by each ore.
- Jerry’s health, attack damage, follow range and ore swallow chance.
- Living Stone toughness and blast resistance.
- Cave spawn chance, interval and minimum nearby ore. Set the chance to 0 to turn natural cave spawning off.
Jerry’s health, damage and follow range apply to Jerrys spawned or loaded after the change.

Vein Keepers 怎么安装？
先用 PCL2 或 HMCL 启动器安装对应版本的 NeoForge，再把下载的 .jar 文件放进游戏目录的 mods 文件夹，重新启动游戏即可。开启了版本隔离的，mods 文件夹在 versions/版本名 下面。
