Pickup Toggle

Tired of walking through a mob farm and coming out with an inventory full of rotten flesh, seeds and dirt? Press a key and stop picking things up.

How it works

• Press , (comma) to turn item pickup off. A message above your hotbar says “Item pickup: OFF”.
• Walk over anything you like: items stay on the ground.
• Press , again to turn pickup back on.

Details

• The key can be changed in Controls → Inventory → Toggle Item Pickup. Comma was picked because big packs rarely use it.
• Each player has their own setting. It’s saved, and it stays the same after dying or logging out.
• XP orbs are still collected as normal.
• Install on both client and server. If only one side has it, players can still join; the key just does nothing.
• Lightweight: just one check when you touch an item.

Modpacks: feel free to include it in any modpack.
