In the Forgotten Forest, there are some structures like the spooky house or the graveyard where there are chests. Be careful: you must open the chest first unless you want to lose the loot.

The main new thing about the items are the Halloween candies, which give you new potion effects. There are three ways to obtain candies: killing hostile mobs (they drop some of them), trading with the Occultist (the villager of the biome), and looting the new structures.

The new effects are these seven:

Phantasmagoric Aura: Allows you to fly like creative mode for 30 seconds (chewy candy).

Undead Hunter: When you have this effect, you will gain 5 levels of experience and one diamond for every undead mob you kill during one minute (lollipop).

Monster Repellent: Every mob that hurts you will be pushed away for one minute (chocolate bar).

Eyes of Jack’O’Lantern: With this effect, when you look at a mob near you, it will get the glowing effect for 50 seconds (candy cane).

Power of Sugar: You have a 30% chance to instakill a mob when you hit one for 40 seconds (monster candy).

Shadow Chains: Entities near you will get slowness and wither for 20 seconds (candy corn).

Death Cheater: You literally become immortal and are ignored by every entity for 20 seconds (golden candy).

To summon the boss: You will need three things to fight the Haunted Wither: four blocks of burial dirt (found in every tombstone structure), two Halloween pumpkins (some mobs spawn with a pumpkin on their head and always drop one, but they are uncommon), and one Haunted Wither Skull (this item is obtained by trading with the Occultist; you need 32 souls, which are found in the chests). The last thing you place must be the Haunted Wither Skull.
