Exploding Nether Ores Reforged brings rich ore deposits into the Nether while keeping you on your toes with hazard mechanics. Built for modern Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, this mod generates native Nether versions of vanilla and modded ores, featuring both modded and vanilla ores, custom explosion hazards, and piglin aggravation just as it did in 1.8 minecraft perfect for a tekkit flavoured mod pack.

Native Nether Ore Generation

Nether Generation: All vanilla ores are supported

Modded Generation: Mekanism, Create, Extreme Reactors, NuclearCraft, Electrodynamics, Industrial Craft 2: Nostalgia, Immersive Engineering, Project Red, Forestry, Thaumcraft (not released yet), Others might work aswell

Nether Ore Hazards 

Mining ores in the Nether isn’t safe thats the entire point! Breaking a Nether ore without Silk Touch triggers explosive reactions and angers nearby Zombified Piglins.

Zombified Piglin Aggro: Breaking ores without Silk Touch angers nearby Zombified Piglins through walls. (Anger radius scales with difficulty: 12 blocks on Easy, 24 on Normal, 32 on Hard).

Explosion Priming: Non-Silk Touch breaks have a chance to prime up to 26 adjacent Nether ores. Primed ores hiss like TNT and explode after 4 seconds (80 ticks).

Chain Reactions: On Normal and Hard difficulties, an ore explosion can trigger adjacent ores, creating chaotic chain explosions!

Silk Touch Safety: Using Silk Touch completely neutralizes both Piglin anger and explosion priming, safely defusing any already-primed ores.

Nether Quartz Pickaxe: Added a standalone Nether Quartz Pickaxe registered both with and without AE2 installed. With AE2 present, AE2’s own pickaxe is used and the fallback recipe is disabled, so there is no duplicate item. Mining Nether Quartz Pickaxe halves the explosion chance and Zombified Piglin anger radius. (Version 2.10)

Important distinction (Dont Bug Report Plz)

This mod only affects Zombified Piglins. It does not control:
– Regular Piglins — these attack on sight if you are not wearing gold armor.
– Piglin Brutes — these attack on sight regardless.
– Vanilla Nether gold ore, gilded blackstone, and bastion chests — these anger Piglins through vanilla mechanics.

If the mobs attacking you are regular Piglins or Brutes, that is vanilla behavior and not caused by this mod
