Gem Alloys

This mod adds a set of materials known as Gem Alloys. They require grinding gems down into a dust, and then mixing them with metals to create an alloy. The five different tiers are Tanzanite, Topaz, Sapphire, Pink Sapphire, and Ruby (based off the Gemspark mod).

Tanzanite: A bit stronger than iron but weaker than diamond–good middle ground if you can’t find diamonds and have a surplus of Tanzanite, but you need to have the equipment to process it

Topaz: On par with diamond armor but has a bit less Armor Toughness. Again, if you have the equipment to process it, it can be a potentially cheaper alternative to diamonds due to Topaz being more common

Sapphire: Stronger than diamond, but weaker than netherite in terms of Armor Toughness. Very solid choice if you have the equipment to process and easily renders diamond armor obsolete if you have a steady supply of Sapphires.

Pink Sapphire: Has an armor rating on par with diamond and netherite, but exceeds both in Armor Toughness. Has less armor than Sapphire and Ruby, but its Armor Toughness makes up for it when it comes to dealing with heavy hits. Pink Sapphires are harder to come by due to being Nether exclusive, so work towards at your own risk.

Ruby: Strongest set. Has the greatest armor rating of all sets and an Armor Toughness on par with netherite, rendering netherite obsolete. Hardest set to craft as Rubies only provides usable grit 60% of the time.

Crafting: All gems are processed via Create machines–Crushing wheels for the grit/dust, and Mixing for creating the alloys themselves. 

Guns: Some alloys are used in the crafting of ammunition and firearms in the modpack, helping to keep them actually useful later on.

Extras: Platimond is an additional resource that can be made via superheating two diamonds and two platinum ingots, which gives you its dust. This can be blasted for 3 minutes to create Platimond ingots, and then pressed to create Platimond Sheets. These are purely intended for gun crafting and serve no other purpose.
