Summary
Elder Wand is a content mod for Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 (Fabric) that adds a single powerful item: a dark elder-wood magic wand with 8 castable spells, each with its own rebindable hotkey. It is designed for roleplay, wizard duels, adventure maps and sandbox fun in both singleplayer and on servers that install it.

What this mod adds
The Elder Wand item (elderwand:elder_wand) — a custom 3D-modeled wand of dark elder wood with carved segment rings, rendered first-person and third-person, with its own creative inventory tab.

Per-spell keybinds — every spell has its own configurable key, grouped under the Elder Wand category in Controls. Binds only respond while the wand is in your main hand, so they never interfere with normal gameplay.
A crafting recipe for survival players (see below), with a recipe-unlock advancement, plus English and Russian translations of all item names, spells and keybind labels.

Critical information before downloading
Minecraft Java Edition 26.3, Fabric Loader ≥ 0.16.0 (0.20.1 recommended), Fabric API ≥ 0.165.0+26.3, Java 25 (bundled with Minecraft 26.3 installations).
Multiplayer: the mod must be installed on the server as well (it registers an item and spells server-side); this means there is no unfair-advantage use — the server’s own admin controls who can cast spells by installing the mod.
Avada Kedavra and Bombarda affect the world and entities; use them thoughtfully in shared worlds.
This is an unofficial, non-commercial fan-made project inspired by wizard fiction; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Warner Bros., J.K. Rowling, or Mojang. All code, model, and textures are original work made for this mod.
Installation
Install Fabric for Minecraft 26.3 (via the Fabric installer or a launcher like Prism Launcher).
Download Fabric API 0.165.0+26.3 and place it in your .minecraft/mods folder.
Place elder-wand-1.1.0+26.3.jar in .minecraft/mods.
Launch the game.
Getting the wand
Creative: the Elder Wand creative tab (top row) contains the item.
Commands: /give @s elderwand:elder_wand
Survival crafting (diagonal): Nether Star in the top-right slot, Stick in the center, Blaze Rod in the bottom-left slot.
Controls
Right-click with the wand: cast the currently selected spell.
Spell hotkeys (X, C, V, B, N, G, H, J by default): select the spell; its name appears above the hotbar. Rebind under Options → Controls → Elder Wand.
Compatibility
Pure item/mod content: no worldgen, no block changes, no mixins into gameplay mechanics; safe to add to or remove from an existing world (the wand item will simply disappear from inventories on removal).
Client + server environments supported; tested on a dedicated Minecraft 26.3 server.
No known conflicts; uses only Fabric Loader entrypoints and stable Fabric API modules.
FAQ
Nothing happens when I press a spell key.
Make sure the wand is in your main hand and the key is not conflicting with another bind in Controls.

Can I use it on a public server?
Only if that server installs the mod — it is server-authoritative by design.

How do I rebind a spell?
Options → Controls → category Elder Wand → pick the spell entry.

Localizations
English (en_us) and Russian (ru_ru) translations included — item name, creative tab, all spell names and keybind labels.

Source and building from source
Full Gradle project is available alongside the download. Build with gradle build using JDK 25 and Gradle 9.2+ (Fabric Loom 1.19.3; Minecraft 26.x ships unobfuscated, so no mappings are needed).

Spell names reference the Harry Potter universe; the project is a fan work distributed free of charge, with no official affiliation.
