Forgeworks: Create Smithing

Melt it. Cast it. Forge it.

Forgeworks lets you build your own weapons and tools from molten metal, powered by Create. Melt ore in a forge, pour it into casts, and put the parts together on a forging table. Every part’s metal changes the stats and adds its own trait.

🔥 The Forges

• Foundry: your first forge. It burns any furnace fuel and melts the common metals.
• Grand Forge: a big forge of any size, heated by Create Blaze Burners under the floor and driven by a Forge Drive built into the wall. It melts every metal, and superheated it melts dragonsteel.
• Alloys: a Forge Agitator stirs metals together. Bronze, brass, electrum, invar, netherite and more.
• Smokestacks give the forge its draft. A forced draft melts metal 25% faster.
• Fuel and heat: three fuel stores feed every burner at once, with gauges, lamps, a breaker and a damper wheel. Dragon Nitro superheats the forge.
• Automation: forge intakes take Create belts and hoppers, faucets pour on their own, spout pipes feed rows of casting tables, and a quench nozzle cools casts twice as fast.
• Diagnostics: every forge controller tells you what’s missing and how to fix it.

⚔️ Weapons

Every weapon deals about the same damage per second, so pick the style you like. Right-click to use its Art.

• Dagger (Shadowstep), Longsword (Riposte), Katana (Iaido), Broadsword (Crushing Sweep), Claymore (Whirlwind)
• Spear (Lunge), Long Spear (Impale), Scythe (Reap)
• Battle Axe (Cleave), Greataxe (Reaver Spin)
• Mace (Concuss), War Hammer (Armor Crack), Great Hammer (Earthshaker)

⛏️ Tools

• Pickaxe, axe (fells the whole tree), shovel and hoe.
• Sledgehammer and Excavator dig three by three.
• Multitool: pickaxe, axe and shovel in one.
• Tool heads can carry a harvest power, such as auto-smelting.

🪨 Metals and Traits

• Dozens of metals, from copper and tin to netherite, End metals and Twilight Forest metals. Each one has its own trait: Holy silver against the undead, self-repairing zinc, fireproof netherite and more.
• Metals from other mods join in when those mods are installed: Create, Create Big Cannons, Create: Metallurgy, The Factory Must Grow, Ice and Fire, the Twilight Forest, Better End, Better Nether, Draconic Evolution and more.
• Adds tin and osmium ores.
• Handles, guards and bindings tune a tool: milled wood, bone, leather, blaze rod, dragon bone and more.
• Boss metals: prizes from great bosses and dragonsteel, forged on the Dwarven Anvil.
• Legendary metals: Hellforged Adamant, Rimeheart Mithril, Tempest Orichalcum and Kingsmetal, forged on the Runeforge. Legendary weapons build Fury and unleash an ultimate.

🏹 The Dragonsbane Ballista (needs Create Big Cannons)

• A heavy bolt thrower built from a stock and rails, loaded by hand or by Create.
• Sharpened stakes, iron bolts and harpoon bolts with a chain tether and winch.
• Works on Create Aeronautics airships.

🧭 The Black Pearl Compass

• Right-click: it points to the nearest living village. Safety first.
• Sneak and right-click: pick a boss from the Boss Path when you’re ready.
• Set it in a Black Pearl Binnacle at your ship’s helm.

📖 The Forgemaster’s Codex

An illustrated guidebook, given on first join (needs Patchouli). It covers every forge, every metal and every weapon, with pictures.
