Mekanism Robit Remastered

A new model for Mekanism Robit, that moves finally moves and is not just two cubes moving in space without animation. Its treads roll, its head looks around, its eyes blink, it reaches for the items it picks up and it settles down on its Chargepad.

It is still Robit: same skins, inventory, Chargepad and everything else. This mod only changes how it looks.

The new Robit

A rounded head with a screen face and big glowing eyes, ear sensors and an antenna
Jointed arms with shoulder plates and three-prong claws
Treads with turning wheels, and a backpack with a light
Around the same size as original Mekanism Robit

How it moves

Driving: the treads roll and the wheels turn with its speed, the body bobs, leans forward and tilts into turns
Looking: the head turns toward whatever it is looking at, you included
Blinking every few seconds
Picking up: it reaches down with the arm on the item’s side and dips its head
Hit: it flinches, throws its arms up and squints
Charging: on its Chargepad it settles down, folds its arms and dims its eyes
Idle: looks around, tilts its head, checks its claw

Skins

All of Mekanism’s pride skins are remade, with the flag on the treads, scrolling as it drives
The allay skin, and skins from other mods or datapacks, keep Mekanisms own model
The Robit item and the skin selection screen show the new model too

Client only

Install it on the client only. Servers doesnt need it, and players without it simply see Mekanism’s Robit.

Each part can be switched off in config/mekrobitremastered-client.toml: the whole model, head tracking, blinking, idle movements and the Chargepad pose.
