PointToGo

A pure client-side, stage-based path guide for Minecraft (NeoForge). Point your crosshair at any visible block and press the hotkey (default G) — PointToGo computes a path to the target using your step height and jump ability, then guides you there in short stages with in-world waypoints. If the target is unreachable, it tells you and does nothing else.

Features

• Stage-based guidance — the full path is split into short ~8-block stages. You always see your immediate next step instead of a far-away destination line.
• Reachability-aware — pathfinding accounts for your step height and jump ability. Floating targets, unloaded chunks, and unreachable spots are reported instead of misleading you.
• Auto-recompute — drift too far off the route (e.g. you went around a hill) and the path is silently recomputed against the latest world state.
• No frame hitches — path search runs on a dedicated background thread; results are applied back on the render thread.
• Dimension-safe — the guide automatically cancels when you change dimensions.
• 100% client-side — works on any server, no server-side installation required.
• Bilingual — English and Simplified Chinese.

How to Use

1. Look at the block you want to go to (crosshair must be on a visible block).
2. Press G (configurable in Options → Controls → Key Binds → PointToGo Path Guide).
3. Follow the rendered waypoints. Each stage counts as reached when you get close to it, and the next stage is shown.
4. Press G again to cancel the guide at any time.

FAQ

Q: Does this work on servers?
Yes. It is fully client-side and changes nothing about your gameplay — no permissions, no server mod required.

Q: Does it work with modded blocks and custom terrain?
Pathfinding is computed against the actual world state, so any terrain you can physically reach on foot works — including stairs, slabs, ladders (if you can reach them) and jump-up heights that match your step height.

Q: Can I change the hotkey?
Yes — Options → Controls → Key Binds → PointToGo Path Guide.

Q: Why is the target reported as unreachable?
Either the chunk is not loaded yet, the target has no solid ground to stand on, or there is no reachable route. Move closer or aim at the ground next to it.
