What is it?

You are the Fool, step zero of the tarot, standing at the edge of a cliff with a bag and a dog. The Fool’s Road is a quest-driven adventure built around the Tarot Cards mod. There are 22 cards, and you do not find them in chests: you earn each one by doing the thing it stands for.

The twist is that the cards only work while you carry them in a card slot. You start with one. Five chapters of the road give you another, up to six. So the real game is choosing which few cards you are willing to walk with.

The road

A 10-chapter main storyline, each chapter one step of the Major Arcana, laid out as framed panels you read top to bottom. No guessing what to do next.

0 – The Fool Steps Out – first night, first tools, the Fool card.
I – Deep Under – mining, smelting, the Magician.
II – Hearth and Harvest – farming, cooking, animals. Empress and Lovers. Card slot 2.
III – Books and Brews – enchanting, potions, villagers. High Priestess and Hierophant.
IV – The Traveler – maps, waystones, the Nether road. Emperor and Chariot. Card slot 3.
V – The Burning Dark – Temperance and the Devil.
VI – The Twilight Gate – the Twilight Forest. Hermit, Strength, Justice. Card slot 4.
VII – Beneath the Canopy – Wheel of Fortune, Hanged Man, Death.
VIII – Cataclysm – the big bosses. Tower, Moon, Sun. Card slot 5.
IX – Star and Judgement – the long way to the end.
X – The World – the final trial and the last card slot.

Seven optional branch chapters (Eidolon, Iron’s Spells, Alex’s Caves, Alex’s Mobs, Bosses and Relics, Dungeon Crawl, Builders and Cooks) take you deeper into the mods you like.

490+ quests in total, 360+ of them on the main road. Written for 1 to 4 players. Co-op friendly: use FTB Teams and share the book.
