Attack Stamina Mod

This mod changes combat and punishes players for attacking too frequently in combat, adding effects to players like weakness, slowness and mining fatigue. This mod makes combat slower and forces to players think about their actions in combat.

There are two punishments when attacking. The first attack will give you small punishments, and the second attack will heavily increase these effects, making you slow, and weak, if you attack too quickly after the previous attack. Second punishment will add Hunger as an additional effect. Hitting multiple mobs will apply the second punishment.

This mod is a good addition for players who want a mod that changes combat, and want more slow paced combat.

WEAPON TYPES:

Each weapon gives different lengths of effects depending on the weapon.

Swords: 

Swords are quick and easy weapons to use. They’re able to attack much quicker than an axe, and won’t punish you very hard. Wooden and stone swords are unaffected, and will not punish you for swinging your weapon.

Axes:

Axes are much slower weapons to use, and will require some patience. Axes will punish you much harder than a sword will.

Shovels:

Shovels are far less punishing than swords, so you’ll recover quickly from attacking a mob.

Pickaxes:

Pickaxes are in between swords and axes recovering slower than swords, but better than axes.

Custom weapon types:

Light Swords:

Only slows players down and gives mining fatigue when attacking. No other negative effects are applied. No weapons exist here by default, but can be customized.

Heavy Axes:

Harsher punishments than an axe.

No weapons exist here by default, but can be customized.

Adding weapons to the mod:

You can add modded weapons to the mod, if you want different weapons from other mods to have effects for attacking mobs, by adding them to the custom tags created for the mod.

-> You can use mods that allow editing tags, like KubeJS to add the tags to a weapon, or item. Or use the below option to add them.

-> Open the mod archive with a zip file opener and head into data, and open the tags folder inside. Inside the tags folder, you can edit the tag files for each weapon and add your own modded items into the file.
