Ghost

Most mods let you die. This one only counts one death.

Type /kill, and instead of a respawn screen you simply keep standing there – pale, quiet, and no
longer really part of the world. Nothing else does it. Drown, fall, walk into lava, let a creeper
have you, and you die the ordinary way like anybody else. Only the command turns you.

What being one is like

Nothing can see you. Not players, not mobs. Anything that had decided to hunt you forgets it.
You fly. Always, in survival, at about the speed a spectator moves.
Walls are not there. You go through stone, through bedrock, through your own house, and you do
not suffocate inside any of it.
Every block comes out in one hit and drops for you, bedrock included. Survival, no cheats, no
tools needed.
You do not fall. And if you ever end up under the world, the world puts you back on top of it.
You can see in the dark, which you will need, because most of what you do now happens at night.

You still see yourself, drawn as the ghost rather than as you. Press F5 to look.

The powers

[ or G opens the wheel. Click a power to load it, then right-click to use it. It
stays loaded, so a power you use a lot is picked once.

Power	What happens
Make it Night	The sky goes over to full dark, wherever it was.
Make it Day	And back to morning.
Blood Moon	The moon turns red for everyone in the world. Use it again to put it back.
Grinning Sun	The sun gets a face. It does not stop smiling until you say so.
Curse the Monsters	Every monster within thirty blocks gets +200 health, +25 damage, Strength III and fire resistance that never run out, a much longer reach for spotting you, and a new name in red. They glow, so you can watch them coming through the walls.
Be Seen	Step out of hiding, for as long as you want to be looked at.
Jumpscare	A face across everybody’s screen, a warden’s roar, and two seconds of blind.
Darkness	Twenty seconds of the warden’s dark for everybody nearby. No torch helps.
Kill Everyone	Everybody on the server dies. Everybody except you.

The last one goes through armour, totems and creative mode, and reaches into other dimensions. It is
meant for a server full of friends who know it is coming.

Commands

/ghost on, /ghost off, and /ghost check for the state of whoever is nearby. /ghost moon,
/ghost sun, /ghost night, /ghost day and /ghost curse set off the same things the wheel does,
which is handy for a map or a server event. All of them want operator.

Notes

Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge.
Works in single player and on a server. On a server the sky powers are the whole server’s sky.
The red moon and the grinning sun replace the game’s own sky textures while they are on, and put
the originals back the moment they are turned off.
Nothing is added to world generation, no blocks, no items, no new mobs. Turn the mod off and the
world is exactly as it was.
