Underground Beacons
Build your beacon wherever you want: in a cave, under your base, beneath a ceiling. It keeps working even when its view of the sky is blocked.
What it does
– The pyramid is detected and its tiers are counted as usual
– The beacon screen opens normally so you can pick your effects
– Effects are applied to nearby players at the normal rate
– No beam is rendered when the sky is blocked
Beacons with a clear view of the sky are left completely untouched.
Good to know
– Server-side: install it on the server, clients do not need it. In single player, install it like any other mod
– No configuration, no new blocks or items
– A buried beacon does not play the activation sound and does not grant the “Bring Home the Beacon” advancement
