A Thaumcraft-inspired magic mod where you scan the world for essences, research in a grimoire, and turn them into infusions, alchemy, golems and enchanted gear.

✦ The Six Essences

Everything in the world is made of six primal essences: Ember, Tide, Terra, Gale, Lumen and Umbra. Use the Lens of Perception to study blocks, items and creatures and absorb their essence as insight, which you spend on research.

✦ The Grimoire

An in-game research book with 5 chapters and over 35 research entries. Each research reveals new recipes, rituals and devices, so you unlock the mod step by step.

✦ Alchemy & Infusion

• Distiller: turns items into essence phials.
• Arcane Crucible: throw items into boiling water to melt them into essences, then add a catalyst to transmute them.
• Infusion Altar: place offerings on pedestals around the altar to perform rituals. Bigger rituals need Containment Pillars and a Primal Catalyst, and unstable rituals can go wrong.
• Primordial Salt: sprinkle it on a bookshelf to create a Grimoire, or on a water cauldron to create the Crucible.

✦ Magic Tools

• Elemental Wands: fireballs, healing waves, area mining, wind dashes, light and life drain.
• Arcane Foci: Frost, Shock (chain lightning), Excavation, Exchange (block swapping) and Portable Hole (temporary tunnels).
• Elemental Tools:
  • Ember Pickaxe: vein mining.
  • Tide Axe: tree felling.
  • Terra Shovel: 3×3 digging.
  • Gale Sword: knockback and wind gusts.
  • Lumen Hoe: auto-harvest and replant.
• Arcanite and self-repairing Voidsteel tools and armor.

✦ Golems

Craft an Arcane Golem, give it a home chest and a Seal:

• Harvest: farms crops and replants them.
• Pickup: collects dropped items.
• Guard: hunts monsters near its home.

✦ Charms & Gear

Runic Ring (regenerating shield), Goggles of Revealing, Wanderer Boots, Gale Boots, Steadfast Girdle, Essence Amulet, Verdant Charm, Pocket Mirror (sends items to a bound chest) and Arcane Grapple.

✦ Miasma

Every distillation and ritual leaves residue behind. Too much of it corrupts the soil and attracts hostile spirits, so build a Purifying Beacon to cleanse the land.

✦ The Crimson Cult

Crimson Cultists roam the night. Defeat them for Crimson Cloth, the Crimson Blade, loot bags and the forbidden Crimson Rites.

✦ World Generation

Vermilion and Amber ores, glowing essence crystal clusters in caves, and two magical trees: Argent and Elder. Structure chests may also hold loot bags and curiosities that grant insight.

✦ Endgame

Primeval Armor, the Eclipse Reaper, the Archmage Crown (flight) and the Primeval Heart, which lets you ascend beyond mortal flesh.

Requirements: Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge.
Recommended: JEI, which shows Infusion and Crucible recipes plus info pages for every special item.
