Terra-mirabilis

# Terra Mirabilis

**A complete overhaul of Overworld generation for Fabric 1.21.1.** Colossal mountain ranges, huge biomes, rivers that carve canyons and fjords, volcanoes with lava lakes, floating Sky Isles with waterfalls, 18 new biomes, giant procedural trees and four Wonders of the World.

## Terrain

– **Continents and oceans** with gentle shelves, deep sea and archipelagos.

– **Mountain ranges up to ~430 blocks high**: sharp ridges, peaks above the clouds, glacial U-shaped valleys. World height is raised to 512 blocks (−64 to 447).

– **Rivers** that flow to the sea, meander through valleys, cut **canyons** through plateaus and turn into **fjords** on cold coasts.

– **Plateaus and mesas** with cliffs in several tiers.

– **Karst towers** rising from lakes and jungle.

– **Volcanoes** with a **lava lake in the crater**, ash in the air and fertile lower slopes.

– **Dune seas**, **marshes**, **sea cliffs** and **sea stacks**.

– **Sky Isles**: floating land ~260 blocks up, with cherry trees and **waterfalls that fall all the way to the ground**.

– **Rock strata** show on steep cliffs, and the wind strips snow off sheer walls.

## Huge biomes

Climate zones stretch for about 10 km, and a typical biome is 1–1.5 km across. Forests climb the mountain slopes. The alpine belt begins above ~215 blocks, and the summits above ~300.

## 18 new biomes

Autumn Forest · Redwood Forest · Lavender Fields · Willow Marsh · Luminous Forest · Alpine Meadow · Glacier · Red Canyon · Dune Sea · Baobab Savanna · Golden Steppe · Karst Peaks · Volcanic Highlands · Tropical Lagoon · Palm Beach · Misty Fjord · Sky Isles · Crystal Caverns (underground)

Vanilla biomes are used as well (71 biomes in total), so villages, temples, ancient cities and other structures generate as usual.

## Trees

Twelve procedural tree designs, among them red and orange maples, golden aspens, sprawling grand oaks with roots, redwoods up to 74 blocks tall, umbrella pines, weeping willows, baobabs, palms, glowing trees hung with shroomlight lanterns, and the cherry “sky roots” of the Sky Isles. Maples and aspens shed coloured falling leaves, and every leaf block has a slightly different shade.
