Lycanites Butchery (Compat)

Lycanites Butchery brings Butchery’s carcass system to Lycanites Mobs, with support for 87 creatures, including Maka, Yale, Roc, and Ika. It uses Butchery’s existing tools, hooks, ropes, and blood grates, so you can use your usual butchering setup.

• Hunt: Kill a supported adult creature with a cleaver to collect its carcass.
• Hang and drain: Place the carcass on a hook or rope and use your cleaver to start bleeding it. A blood grate underneath collects the blood.
• Skin or pluck: Use a skinning knife to remove the hide or feathers, depending on the creature.
• Cut up: Finish processing the carcass with your cleaver to collect meat, bones, organs, and other creature-specific drops. Butchery’s hints help you choose the right tool.

Large carcasses are too heavy to carry or hang and must be butchered where they fall. Bloodless creatures, such as fish and insects, skip the draining stage.

Carcasses use each creature’s own model and textures. They become paler when drained, turn red when skinned, and get smaller as you cut them up. Relevant drops are held inside the carcass until processing; items such as soulstones and gems still drop normally.

Requirements: Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge, Butchery, and Lycanites Mobs. Put this addon and both required mods in your instance’s mods folder, using their Forge 1.20.1 versions. Tested with Butchery 5.2 and Lycanites Mobs 0.1.0-alpha.

The following extras are optional:

• Lycanites Redux Neo: Carcasses use the resource pack’s redesigned models and textures.
• Immersive Tanning: Skinning provides its traited hides for tanning.
• Lycanite Delight 0.4.1+: Graded cuts are collected during the first cut, with their quality preserved.

Configuration: Choose which creatures can be butchered and whether tamed creatures are included. Drops and processing stages can be customized through datapacks. The addon also respects Butchery’s settings for bleeding, organs, and Looting.

Multiplayer: Singleplayer and LAN are supported. The tested Lycanites Mobs 0.1.0-alpha build cannot run on dedicated servers, so this addon cannot be used with that build on a dedicated server.

This addon focuses on carcass processing. It does not add head mounts, rugs, or skeleton displays.
