Couldn’t find a good Forge mod for nickname management so I created one for the community <3 (UPDATE: Now works on Folia and Paper 1.21.8)
Nickname Easy is a lightweight Minecraft Forge mod allowing players to easily set in-game nicknames, supporting both single-word or first-and-last-name combinations. It fully supports the Cyrillic alphabet, configurable commands, and custom reply messages with color formatting. Perfect for personalizing your Minecraft server with simplicity and style!
You can easily use it as a dependency without including API files, here’s an example on how to get player’s custom nickname using persistent data:

Nickname Easy 支持哪些 Minecraft 版本？
Nickname Easy 支持 Minecraft Java 版 1.20.1–1.21.8，共 15 个版本，可用的加载器：Folia / Forge / Paper。下载时注意选择和你游戏版本一致的文件。
Nickname Easy 怎么安装？
先用 PCL2 或 HMCL 启动器安装对应版本的 Folia / Forge / Paper，再把下载的 .jar 文件放进游戏目录的 mods 文件夹，重新启动游戏即可。开启了版本隔离的，mods 文件夹在 versions/版本名 下面。运行环境：仅服务端。
