Mobnificent!

Overview

Mobnificent is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 that introduces a collection of custom creatures brought to life with GeckoLib animations. Every mob features bespoke AI behavior: from a friendly creature that cheers when it sees you, to a flying skull that performs hit-and-run dive attacks, to a ghostly marksman that fires homing bolts of soul fire.

All mobs are available through spawn eggs grouped under a dedicated "Mobnificent" creative tab.

Mobs

Brasato (Passive)

A friendly, curious creature that is occasionally drawn to nearby players, approaching them for a few seconds before wandering off. When the encounter ends, there’s a good chance it celebrates with a cheerful "hurray" animation. It also cheers spontaneously from time to time.

Hand (Hostile)

A disembodied undead hand that crawls toward its prey. Its lunge attack is synced to the attack animation: the damage lands exactly on the impact frame, giving the strike a weighty, telegraphed feel rather than an instant hit.

Ghostling (Hostile)

A ghostly ranged attacker that strafes around its target like a skeleton, keeping its distance while it fires. Its shots are Soul Bolts — glowing projectiles that leave a soul-fire trail and gently home in on their target for the first moments of flight, so dodging is still possible. The bolt flies faster the farther away the target is.

Skull (Hostile)

A floating undead skull that ignores gravity and hunts from the air. It performs fly-by melee attacks: diving in to strike, then pulling away backwards while still facing its victim before banking off to circle around for another pass.

Features

• 4 fully animated mobs powered by GeckoLib, each with custom AI combat or interaction goals
• Homing Soul Bolt projectile with soul-fire particles and magic damage
• Spawn eggs for every mob, collected in a dedicated creative tab
• Undead classification for hostile mobs (affected by Smite, harmed by healing, etc.)
