Mighty Pocket Sand!

Mighty pocket sand! Sneak and right-click some sand with an empty hand to grab a handful, then throw it at whatever’s chasing you. It blinds them for a few seconds so you can get away (or get a cheap hit in).

• Scooping doesn’t use up the sand block, so you can grab as much as you want
• Throws like a snowball, leaves a little trail of sand, and poofs when it hits
• Anything it hits gets blinded for 5 seconds, players included
• Normally blindness doesn’t do anything to mobs. With this they lose track of you until it wears off
• You can put it in a dispenser
• It has its own throw and hit sounds

• Works on regular sand, red sand, and modded sand too if it’s tagged as sand
• Stacks to 16
• Blindness lasts 5 seconds, and mobs can’t retarget you for those 5 seconds either
• It’s in the Combat tab in creative
• NeoForge 1.21.1, needs to be on both the server and the client

Does it do damage? Nope, it just blinds.

Does it work on bosses? Haven’t really tested it on bosses, give it a go and let me know.

Fabric / Forge / other versions? Just NeoForge 1.21.1 for now. If you want a port, ask in the comments.

Can I use it in my modpack? Yep, go for it.
