Create: Slipspace Drives

Fold space. Jump your ship.

Create: Slipspace Drives is an add-on for Create: Aeronautics that lets a finished ship cross
distances it could never fly. Build a drive into your hull, spin it up, tear a rift open in
front of the bow and fly straight through it.

The idea is inspired by the slipspace travel of Halo.

Alpha. Everything here has been played in survival and on a dedicated server, but
expect rough edges. Back up your worlds.

The mod is still in development and more updates will follow. Feedback, ideas and bug
reports are very welcome!

How a jump works

1. Build the drive into your ship. More frames, more distance.
2. Fuel and charge it with Slipspace Substrate and rotation.
3. Jump with a redstone pulse and fly through the rift.
4. Cross Slipspace, where every block counts for many outside, and drop out near your target.

Watch your altitude. You drop out at the height you are flying in Slipspace. Fly too
low and you may come out inside a mountain.

The drive, the Railgun and both lances come with Ponder scenes.

What’s inside

Travel

• Slipspace Drive: the multiblock drive
• Slipspace Navigator: converts between world and Slipspace coordinates, sets a course
  and shows its readings on goggles or a Display Board.
• Coordinate Chip: carries one jump target, either an anchor or any coordinate you pick.
• Slipspace Anchor: marks a landing site in another dimension. Anchors are how a ship
  reaches the Nether or the End.
• Vacuum Siphon and Slipspace Substrate: the fuel chain. Careful with the bucket:
  whatever touches the poured fluid is thrown into Slipspace.
• Translight Alloy: the material every slipspace part is made of.

Tools

• Telemetry Goggles: a HUD with live values from the machines you link. They also work
  as Engineer’s Goggles and fit a Curios slot.

Weapons and defence

• Railgun: a multiblock gun that fires real blocks. Very effective against shields.
• Tachyon Lance: a modular weapon that fires long powerful bolts of energy
• Shield Generator: lays a shield above your hull that stops incoming projectiles (compatible with Create: Big Cannons).
• Vitrification Lance: a weapon for orbital bombardment. It burns a crater into the land.
• Slipspace Bomb: tears a whole sphere out of the world and throws it into Slipspace.

• Create 6.0.10 or newer
• Create: Aeronautics 1.3.1 or newer
• Simulated 1.3.1 or newer
• Sable 2.x

Optional: JEI for recipes, Curios for the goggles slot.
