Put a mob’s head on. Press R. Become the mob.

Explode like a creeper and walk away. Teleport like an enderman. Fire a Warden sonic boom. Fly with the dragon head. And walk straight past zombies, because with a zombie head they think you’re one of them.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Kill mobs. Sometimes they drop their head (Looting helps).

2. Wear the head (helmet slot or right-click it).

3. Press R to use its power. Every head also gives a passive while worn.

4. Most heads are a disguise: that kind of mob ignores you until you attack it.

A small icon next to your hotbar shows your power and its cooldown.

Creeper – Explode, you survive / Immune to explosions

Zombie – Summon 3 zombie bodyguards / Strength

Skeleton – 7-arrow volley / Speed

Wither Skeleton – Shoot wither skulls / Immune to wither

Piglin – Barter a gold ingot anywhere / Piglins stay calm

Dragon – Dragon breath / Fly

Enderman – Teleport where you look / Endermen don’t get angry

Blaze – Triple fireball / Fire resistance

Spider – Web shot / Climb walls, see in the dark

Ghast – Explosive fireball / Slow falling

Slime – Super bounce / Jump boost, no fall damage

Iron Golem – Ground slam / Resistance

Warden – Sonic boom / Senses monsters, immune to darkness

Evoker – Line of evoker fangs / Illagers leave you alone

Witch – Throw nasty potions / Immune to poison

Guardian – Laser / Water breathing

The 6 vanilla heads (creeper, zombie, skeleton, wither skeleton, piglin, dragon) get powers too, and now drop from their mobs. The 10 new heads use the mobs’ real in-game textures, no custom art shipped.

Balance: you can never hold more than 3 heads at once (worn plus inventory). Trying to pick up a 4th leaves it on the ground with a message.

WHERE HEADS COME FROM

Zombie, Skeleton, Creeper, Piglin: 4% (+2% per Looting level)

Enderman, Blaze, Spider: 5%

Ghast, Iron Golem: 10%

Witch: 8%

Evoker: 25%

Warden: 50%

Elder Guardian: 100% (Guardian Head)

Ender Dragon: always drops its head

CONFIG

config/headpowers.properties: drop chance multiplier, cooldown multiplier, disguise on/off, dragon flight on/off, whether explosions break blocks, number of zombie allies.

MULTIPLAYER

Works on servers. Every player needs the mod (it adds new items). The key can be changed under Controls > Head Powers.
