Hold Attack

Hold the configured Attack/Destroy key while aiming at an entity. The mod performs a normal attack only when weapon cooldown is fully charged. Release the key to stop.

Requirements and installation

Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.6–47.x, Java 17. Install the JAR in the client instance’s mods folder. The server does not need this mod. Remove the JAR to uninstall.

Features and limits

No target search, extra reach, damage or attack speed. Block mining is unchanged. Early entity clicks are suppressed. Automatic attacks are blocked during menus, pause, lost focus, item use, mining, death, spectator mode and sleep. The server remains authoritative. Follow server rules; do not use where automated inputs are prohibited. Other automatic-attack mods, combat mods and anti-cheat compatibility are not guaranteed.

Verification

The public source passes a clean wrapper build, 17 policy assertions and a static adapter wiring test, including GitHub CI. These checks do not establish in-world or multiplayer compatibility. This first release is a beta.
