Summy Reliquary: Apocrypha

An expansion for Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge featuring two symmetrical Curios sets: the angelic New Testament and demonic Apoptosis, with 10 accessories and 10 dedicated slots.

Overview

SRA is an expansion for Summy Reliquary, but its progression is treated as an independent "otherworldly" system. SR’s angel/demon flags control whether SRA slots are available, while SR’s Genesis reset does not erase SRA ownership, pity counters, accessories, or death-recovery data.

Features

• New Testament (angel path): bow/crossbow hit healing, fixed true-damage falling arrows, light-feather resources, piercing holy arrows, glide, and 0–8 configurable air jumps across five accessories.
• Apoptosis (demon path): trusted melee hits build a 100-point apoptosis bar. At full value the target suffers elemental burst damage, then enters a five-second injured state followed by five seconds of resistance. Five accessories add a four-hit threshold, ratio-based burst damage, execution, resistance cutting, fear, and per-second burn.
• Independent routes: each route stores its own base item, four remaining items, 15% roll, and ten-chest pity. Rolling stops after the route is complete.
• Real world-chest acquisition: only containers opened naturally for the first time count. The base accessory is guaranteed; you must equip it before the other four can roll.
• Death protection: all 10 accessories are kept on death. Backpack copies are snapshotted before drops are cleared and restored on respawn. Dropped SRA accessories are invulnerable and never despawn.
• Custom wings: light-feather and fallen-plume wings render directly on the player’s torso bones through Curios, with no entity delay.
• Clear combat feedback: targets show a camera-facing, occlusion-aware, smoothly animated six-stage apoptosis bar; affected players also receive a vanilla NOTCHED_6 boss bar.
• Strict master switch: disabling the mod clears delayed projectiles, temporary control effects, apoptosis settlement, and client bars while persistent timers continue using absolute world time.

Apoptosis elemental damage

• Independent damage type; bypasses armor, protection enchantments, resistance, and effects.
• Clears invulnerability before and after a successful hit; no knockback.
• Final amount is pinned at LivingHurtEvent LOWEST, preventing SR/SE damage multipliers from changing it.
• Uses #summy_enchantment:no_dodge, so Nimble Steps cannot dodge it when Summy Enchantment is installed.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.20.1.
• Forge 47.4.10+.
• Summy Reliquary 1.8.6-forge+ (required, GitHub release).
• Curios 5.14.1+1.20.1 (required).
• Install summy-reliquary-apocrypha-0.1.0.jar on both client and server.

SRA does not bundle Summy Reliquary. Network protocol is "2"; client and server builds must match.

Configuration

File: config/summy_reliquary_apocrypha-common.toml

• 48 configurable values.
• Acquisition chance, ten-chest pity, all New Testament and Apoptosis tuning, and the player-fear toggle are configurable.
• Enable [new_testament] log_trigger for detailed combat and state logs.

License

This mod uses a custom non-commercial license. Non-commercial modpack inclusion, free redistribution, and personal modification are allowed with attribution and notices preserved. Commercial use is prohibited. Source code, assets, and artifacts are covered separately in the repository LICENSE.

The New Testament and Apoptosis themes, terminology, and mechanics are inspired by Arknights, but this is not an official Arknights product. SRA is not associated with The Binding of Isaac and does not use its code, names, settings, or assets. All textures were independently drawn for this project. See CREDITS.md for attribution.
