Desecration

Inspired by the Consecration mod, Desecration makes undead far more difficult to kill without using the proper tools. They will take massively reduced damage and no knockback unless they are on fire or attacked with holy magic. Holy magic includes damage from the smite effect, golden weapons, or any damage while an undead is under the “consecration” debuff.

Desecration also adds a new mob, the Lich, which is an undead evoker. It spawns underground guarded by zombies, and will ward all other undead (except other liches) in a radius around it until it is killed. When killed it will drop seeds that can be used to create potions of desecration or create unholy ground beneath players and mobs.

To make the early game a bit easier, you can also craft a smoldering stick, a weak weapon which will set anything it hits on fire.
