# Heroes and Space

**Thirty-one playable heroes, 92 suits, a skill tree for every hero, the Infinity Stones, and nine worlds to fly between.** Everything can be earned in survival, with no commands and no creative mode.

Become Iron Man, Superman, the Flash, Spider-Man, Thor, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, the Wasp, Batman, Aquaman, Vision, Ultron, the Winter Soldier, U.S. Agent, or any of fourteen X-Men. Then fly off the top of the world, land on the Moon, and fight its champion.

# How to play

## The basics

**One power at a time.** You can hold one hero’s power. Iron Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp come from their suits and work on top of any power. Batman, the Winter Soldier and U.S. Agent also come from suits, but only give powers if you don’t already have another hero’s.

**Skill points.** Kills and advancements earn them, and every hero shares them. Open your inventory and press the **Powers** button to spend them in your hero’s tree. On most trees, levels cost 1, 3, then 6 points.

**Keys.** Abilities are on **V, B, N, M and comma**. Change them in Options > Controls. Holding M usually opens a wheel of extra abilities.

**The Tailoring Bench.** It comes from Palladium. Put shears in the tool slot, which aren’t used up. Fabrics, iron and other materials make each piece. JEI shows every recipe.

**Curios.** Press **G** for the Curios slots.

**The Hero Chamber** is crafted from Iron Blocks, a Lightning Rod, Glass, a Redstone Block and a Copper Block. Right-click it with what you’re loading, walk in, and right-click again to start. Sneak to get out at any time.

**Ant-Man and the Wasp** shrink one step with V. **Each X-Man** has their own five powers, shown on the in-game HUD and in their tree, and those who can fly do so with a double-tap of jump.

**Moves with no key:** walk into a wall as Spider-Man to climb it. As Batman, hold jump while falling to glide. Crouch and right-click with a shield to throw it. The Winter Soldier’s rifle fires on right-click and zooms while crouching.

## The Infinity Stones

1. Craft a **Stone Locator** (compass, ender eye, amethyst shard). Right-click it to choose which stone it points to.

2. Get past what guards the stone, then walk up to its pedestal to take it. Two are on Earth, and four are on planets.

3. Hold it in either hand to use its powers on V, B, N and M, or craft the **Gauntlet** and channel it from there. With the Gauntlet in hand, comma steps to the next stone, and **crouch + M is the Snap**.

## Going to space

Fly up. Anything works: an elytra, rockets, or a hero’s flight. Past **y=520** you arrive at the launch pad in Space. A list in the corner gives the direction and distance to each planet. **Fly close to one to land.**

To leave a planet, hold crouch on the landing pad for two seconds, fly up out of the top of its sky, or run `/space return`. To go home, fly down to Earth.

**Air:** on the Moon and Mars you have 40 seconds of breath. A **Rebreather** in the necklace slot, an Iron Man helmet or a hazmat suit fixes that. Kryptonians, The Void, Vision and Ultron don’t need air.

**Champions** drop an **Elite Trophy**. Right-click it for 3 skill points. Creatures on each world drop the materials for new gear.

## Flying fast

Hold **sprint** while flying as Iron Man, a Kryptonian, Thor, The Void, Vision, Ultron, Jean Grey, Storm, Magneto or Rogue. Speed builds over about three seconds, the view widens, speed lines and a vapor trail appear, and you break the sound barrier at 80%. It eases off by itself before you fly past what’s loaded. Aquaman gets the same boost swimming.

## Speedsters

Hold forward with speed on, and you stay on the ground over slopes, stairs and slabs. A real wall is run straight up. Mining speed rises with your speed level.

`/speedmode wall`, `/speedmode water` and `/speedmode jump` turn wall-running, water-running and high-speed jumps on and off.

`/speedmode vibrate` turns on vibrate mining: one hit breaks a 3×3 (5×5 at speed 5) for Kinetic Energy, straight into your inventory. It won’t take obsidian or bedrock unless you change that in the config.

## The Kryptonian sun

Sunlight fills your solar bar. Caves, night and rain drain it.

– **Under 20%:** you’re weaker.

– **Full, in the sun:** you overcharge for 30 seconds, with a gold aura, a burst that throws back what’s near, and much harder hits.

– **Crouch and stand still in the sun** to charge faster.

– **A Sun Chamber** block charges you anywhere. Stand on it.

– **Krypton’s red sun** drains you fast and puts out an overcharge.

## Changing the numbers

`kubejs/config/hero_plus.json` is written the first time a world loads. Flight speed per hero, mining, the sun, gravity, air, creatures and effects quality are all there. Run `/reload` after changing it.
