Soul Orbs by OMR

Soul Orbs adds 6 tiers of Soul Orbs for capturing mobs.

• Soul Orb – Allows the capture of Animals and passive mobs
• Reinforced Soul Orb – Allows the Capture of Hostile mobs
• Ender Soul Orb – Identical to Reinforced Soul Orb but will return to player once it makes contact.
• Ancient Soul Orb – Allows the Capture of Boss Monsters (Wither, Warden & Elder Guardian)
• Netherite Soul Orb – Identical to Ancient Soul Orb, Indestructible and will not burn in lava
• Eternal Soul Orb – Guarantees the capture of an Eternal Soul, will return to you and will not burn in lava.

Souls themselves have 4 tiers of Rarity

• Common
• Pristine
• Ancient
• Eternal

The rarity of the soul will determine its multiplier, each soul has a unique value when uploaded via the Soul Uploader. The Value is tied specifically to the mob. Basic Mobs like Cows, Chickens, Sheep & Pigs are only worth 1 soul for their common variant. Wheras Pristine gives this a 3x multiplier, Ancient is a 10x multiplier and Eternal is a 50x multiplier. Don’t be surprised if you don’t catch an Eternal before unlocking the Eternal Soul Orb, the odds of a base catch are 1/1000.

To improve your odds on capturing rare souls search Ancient City chests for the new enchantment Soul Fortune. This has 3 tiers and at Tier 3 will offer a 2.5x reduction of the odds. The enchantment can be placed on any Helmet.

Craft the Soul Codex, which will allow you to track the mobs you have caught and the rarities of that mob, it will also track some base statistics.

Once you have uploaded your souls you can spend them in the Soul Forge to purchase better tiers of orbs and other unique items including a music disc, a new form of chest, a unique weapon and a new elytra which is powered by Souls.

The Soul Uploader and Soul Forge are both located in the new dimension The Soul Sanctum, which is unlocked through the mods advancement tree.

Finally there is a new structure called the Soul Obelisk, once unlocked you can choose a blessing from the Soul Stone (Similar to the standing stones in Skyrim) this blessing becomes a permanent addition to the player irrespective of dying. You can change blessings at the cost of 1000 Souls however the first blessing is free.

Soul Orbs is a great addition for the Mid -> Late Game and gives you that extra depth to explore.

Please note that capturing the Ender Dragon is Disabled by default

This can be enabled by Server Operator in Options -> Soul Orbs Settings.

This change is currently available in 26.2 only Mod Versions 1.0.1 and newer.
