BasicStats is a Fabric mod for Minecraft Java 26.2 that turns vanilla statistics into a friendly in-game dashboard and adds optional server-side progression tools. One JAR works on the client, a dedicated server, or both.

🧭 Choose how you play

💻 Client-side — works without a modded server

Put BasicStats in your client mods folder and press J in-game. It works in singleplayer and remains useful on servers that have never installed BasicStats.

• Seven clear tabs: Overview, Combat, Movement, Session, Building, Progress, and Leaderboards
• Locally available vanilla values such as playtime, kills, deaths, jumps, walking distance, blocks broken/placed, crafting, and damage
• Client-observed session duration, movement distance, and deaths
• An explicit local-mode notice — estimates are not disguised as server-authoritative facts

🖥️ Server-side — vanilla clients can join

Install BasicStats on a Fabric server to add persistent player statistics, commands, progression, and tab-list information. Players do not need the mod to connect.

• /stats, /daily, /weekly, /rank, /streak, /goals, /achievements
• /uptime, /session, /deathlog, /sidebar, player comparisons, and online leaderboards
• Tab-list death totals and configurable header/footer
• Daily and weekly tracking, first joins, activity streaks, goals, achievements, and ore-themed ranks
• Persistent death logs with cause, dimension, coordinates, and time

🔄 Client + server — the full experience

With BasicStats on both the Fabric client and Fabric server, the dashboard automatically shows server-authoritative lifetime, daily, weekly, rank, session, uptime, recent personal death-log entries, and online leaderboards for playtime, kills, and deaths. Death-log sync deliberately omits coordinates. There is nothing extra to configure.

📦 Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader 0.19.3+ for Minecraft 26.2.
2. Install Fabric API.
3. Download the current basicstats-fabric-*.jar and place it in your mods folder (client, server, or both).
4. Start the game or server — client users open the dashboard with J.

For synchronized server data, use the same BasicStats version on client and server. If one side is missing, BasicStats automatically uses its compatible fallback mode.

🛡️ Privacy & compatibility

• No telemetry
• No advertisements or paid features
• No external system access
• Client/server sync only transfers the aggregate information needed for the dashboard; death-log locations and server configuration stay private

⚠️ Alpha release

Version 0.3.1 is an alpha release for Minecraft 26.2. Please back up important worlds and server data before updating. Helpful bug reports include the Minecraft version, Fabric Loader version, Fabric API version, BasicStats version, and steps to reproduce the problem.
