Hamata’s Choice

This modpack is a small collection of some of mine and my friend’s favorite mods. The largest mods contained in this pack are Origins, Create, and Botania. Other than that, some smaller mods have been added for compatibility and performance enhancement. Origins offers each character the option to choose a special origin, like cat, skulker, underman, etc. These origins will grant the player certain advantages like armor buffs or increased movement speed, but will also have drawbacks like an aversion to water or the inability to hold a shield. Botania offers a massive selection of fantasy plants and creatures that can be used to make new and exciting armors, tools, blocks, potions, and more. Create is an engineering focused mod that adds lots of new mechanics to gameplay that allow for things like moving bridges, trains, mining tools, and much more that helps keep late game play interesting. Outside of these 3 large mods, there are some smaller mods added in like appleskin, XL packets, connectivity, and the various API mods are just there to help streamline the gameplay experience and make sure that all of the other selected mods will mesh together well. Just Enough Items is another useful mod that helps with crafting recipes so that new equipment added to the game is less confusing to build. Corpse is a particularly fun lightweight mod that will create a corpse of a player wherever they die that had their full inventory. When a corpse is found, a player can click on it to loot the body of whatever was left. Overall, each mod in this pack is designed to make the playing experience as fun as possible in both early, middle, and late game play in an SMP server.
