🔮 About

Arcane Spells adds a complete magic system to Minecraft. You get mana, ranks, books and ten constellations where spells are learned. Two spells can be combined into a new, stronger one.

The world grows around the magic: a magic forest biome, home to mages, magic bears, cows and bees, with a mage’s hut hidden among the trees and a chest inside. In the dark forests a heretic cult guards the Codex of the Abyss, and its master, Archheretic Malgor, waits in a ruined cathedral.

🌟 Features

📖 Magic

Mana with a vertical bar at the edge of the screen and spare bars, like absorption hearts.
7 ranks from Novice to Almighty. A higher rank unlocks stronger spells.
92 abilities: 58 learnable and 34 combined. Fire, ice, lightning, stars, black holes, spirits, wind, dragon flame and dark magic.
Ability training: spells get stronger and cheaper the more you cast and train them.
5 mantles (simple, improved, magical, archmagical and the Mantle of the Abyss) that add mana and empower defensive spells.
Upgrade branches with a paid reset.

🌌 The Star Map

The Book of Astronomy holds ten real constellations: Lyra, Cassiopeia, Cygnus, Ursa Major, Orion, Scorpius, Gemini, Draco, Pegasus and Andromeda. Spells stand on bright stars and unlock along the lines. Drag and zoom the map, or search it for an ability.

⚗️ Combining

From Master rank, two compatible spells merge into a new one: Meteor Shower, Thunderstorm, Inferno Breath, Rocket Leap and more. Each has its own look and sound.

🩸 Dark Magic of the Abyss (new in 0.6.0)

The Codex of the Abyss opens the Abyss Atlas: 15 dark spells in three schools (Shadow, Necromancy, Blood & Hex), 3 upgrades per spell and 7 passives, all bought with soul shards. Each dark spell has its own animated 3D model: a shadow bolt, a void scythe, a black sun, bone spikes, grave hands, a wraith, a blood moon and more.

💀 The Heretic Cult (new in 0.6.0)

Heretic Sanctums in dark forests and swamps, with heretics and new blocks: a ritual altar, soul braziers, a cursed obelisk, a heretic lectern and a blood font.
Cathedral of the Abyss: a rare ruined arena. Light four soul braziers at night and lay the Codex on the Seal of the Abyss to summon the boss.
Archheretic Malgor: a boss with three phases, six attacks, his own boss bar and unique loot (Staff of the Eclipse, Crown of the Archheretic, Eye of the Abyss, Heart of the Abyss).

🌲 The Magic Forest and its Inhabitants

A rare azure-and-violet biome. You may meet:

🏠 The Mage’s Hut

A cosy cottage in the magic forest: a library, a workshop, a glowing altar and a tower with a crystal. A mage and a few bees live nearby. The chest holds mantle materials and, sometimes, a first-tier mantle.

🎮 Getting Started

Craft the Book of Astronomy and get a Mana Crystal (chests, mage drops).
Learn your first spell on the star map (key O).
Drag it into a slot in the Book of Abilities (I).
Cast with Z / G / B / Y.
Raise your rank in the upgrade menu (N) and unlock more constellations.
Ready for darkness? Put the Ability Book and 3 soul shards on a Ritual Altar to get the Codex of the Abyss.

All keys can be rebound in Controls. The in-game Glossary covers the basics.

Works in singleplayer and on servers. Game logic runs on the server, visuals are drawn on the client. No resource pack needed.

Are there test commands? For operators: /arcane learnall learns every ability, and /mana, /spells and /rank show your state.
Forge / NeoForge? No, Fabric only.
Can I use it in modpacks? Yes, feel free.
