Your MCA villages now live, work and grow over generations. Give villagers real jobs, watch them gain experience, grow old, retire and be remembered. Build your village from a hamlet into a metropolis, with taxes, a market and decrees.

An addon for MCA Reborn (Fabric 1.20.1). Works in singleplayer and multiplayer.

⚒️ Real jobs

Hire any jobless adult from their menu and they actually do the work:

• Farmer: harvests and replants crops.
• Lumberjack: cuts real trees only, never your log cabin.
• Fisher: fishes in nearby water.
• Breeder: breeds, shears and collects eggs (cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits).
• Baker: turns wheat from their chest into bread.
• Blacksmith: repairs villagers’ gear with iron ingots.
• Doctor: heals the wounded and cures sick villagers.
• Teacher: gives lessons to children, which makes them happier.
• Guard and Archer: MCA’s defenders, now part of the same job menu.

Set a work zone where you stand and a deposit chest where they store what they produce. Villagers gain experience and rise from Apprentice to Master: the more skilled, the more they produce. In old age they retire (a fisherman becomes a retired fisherman).

🏛️ Living villages

• Five ranks: Hamlet, Village, Town, City, Metropolis, based on prestige and population. Fall below the requirements and the village loses its rank.
• Building quality (lights, windows, decor) from Rudimentary to Magnificent.
• New buildings: Town Hall, Market, Chapel, School, Theater.
• Treasury and weekly taxes, partly paid in goods from the job chests. Unpaid upkeep makes buildings fall into disrepair.
• Market day: order goods produced by the village.
• Decrees: feasts, birth bonus, apprentice grant, free care, call for settlers, recruit guards…
• Justice: unhappy villagers may steal from the treasury. Guards arrest them, you choose prison or pardon.
• Happiness and illness for every villager.

⏳ Generations

• Villagers age, retire and eventually pass away.
• Choose how fast time flows when creating your world: one Minecraft day can be a day, a week, a month, a season or a year.
• A world calendar: hold a watch to see the date and time.

🪦 Graves

• Every villager who dies gets a grave with their portrait, name, job and dates.
• A wooden cross, a stone stele or a marble tomb, depending on the life they lived.
• All three can be crafted to build your own cemetery.

🌳 Family tree rework

• Portraits: see faces, not just names.
• No limit on distance: cousins, great-grandparents and beyond.
• Clean layout with no crossing lines, even for huge families.
• Deceased villagers stay in the tree with their job.
• Surnames passed down from parents to children.

📱 Phone

• Craft a phone with its own 3-digit number.
• Take photos, browse your gallery, send them to other players and print them as real photo items.

🏠 Smarter villagers

• Multi-floor houses (ladders, stairs, trapdoors) count as one home.

Languages: English, French.

Commands

• /surname [name]: see or set your surname (your children inherit it).
• /time add <ticks> (op): skip time. Villagers age, marry, have kids and die during the skipped period (max 100 years per jump).
• /gamerule mcaVieTimeSpeed <JOUR|SEMAINE|MOIS|SAISON|AN> (op): change the time speed (day, week, month, season, year).
