Potencias

Potencias adds 16 special OP utility items — one for each Minecraft dye color — that each run a command you configure, no matter who is holding them. Perfect for server admins who want to hand out specific, controlled abilities to players without giving them full operator access.

It also ships an Item Editor module, a Modpack Progression utility, a Custom Mob Drop system, and a Secure Lectern block.

🛠️ Main Commands

All root and subcommands require OP level 4:

• /potencias ie (or /potencias ie edit) — Opens the Item Editor GUI for the item in your main hand (replaces /ie).
• /potencias modid lock|unlock|list — Manages crafting table recipe locks by Mod ID (replaces /modid).
• /potencias adrop ... — Manages custom mob drop rules for entities.

💎 Potencia Items

• 16 Unique Items: One per Minecraft dye color, each with its own faceted-gem texture.
• Right-Click: Executes the command stored on the item with permission level 4 (as if the holder were OP) — regardless of the actual holder’s permissions.
• Shift + Right-Click (OP Only): Opens a dedicated screen to set the item’s name, command, and extra options:
  • Command Execution: Supports %player% (or {player}) placeholder, replaced with the name of whoever uses the item.
  • Toggleable Single Use: Mark a Potencia as single-use and it disappears completely after being activated once.
  • Configurable Cooldown: Set a cooldown in seconds per item to prevent command spam.
  • Firework Burst Effect: A real vanilla firework, colored to match the Potencia’s dye, launches on activation along with a confirmation sound.
  • Toggleable Server Broadcast: Send a customizable message to the whole server upon activation (supports %player% and & color codes).
• Visual & Formatting: Item names, lore, and broadcast messages support Bukkit-style & color codes (&c, &l, &r, etc.). Shows an enchant glint once configured, and a detailed tooltip with its settings.

🎨 Item Editor (/potencias ie)

• Replaces /ie with a 9×3, chest-style GUI (OP only) for editing the item in your main hand directly in survival without risk of duplication:
  • ✏️ Rename item (supports & color codes)
  • 📖 Add lore lines (supports & color codes)
  • 🚫 Clear all lore
  • 🛡️ Toggle Unbreakable
  • ✨ Toggle enchant glint without adding a real enchantment
  • 📚 Cycle enchantments (levels 1–5 on any item)
  • 🔢 Set Custom Model Data
  • 🙈 Toggle hidden tooltip info
  • 🔍 Live Preview slot always shows the real item being edited.

🔒 Crafting Locks (/potencias modid)

• /potencias modid lock <modid> — Blocks only crafting-table recipes (shaped, shapeless, and special) whose output belongs to that mod.
• /potencias modid unlock <modid> — Restores them.
• /potencias modid list — Displays currently locked mods.
• Note: Locked items are not deleted from the game, nor does it affect furnaces, stonecutters, or smithing tables. They remain obtainable via configured Potencia commands (e.g. /give), making Potencias the intended way to hand them out. Persists across server restarts.

🎒 Custom Mob Drops (/potencias adrop)

Add any item held in your main hand (including its name, lore, enchantments, Custom Model Data, and components from other mods) directly to any entity’s drop pool.

• Commands:
  • /potencias adrop <entity> <chance> <min> [max] [always|player] — Adds the item in your main hand as a drop rule for that entity.
  • /potencias adrop list — Displays all configured drop rules and their conditions.
  • /potencias adrop remove <id> — Removes a specific drop rule.
• Drop Parameters & Logic:
  • Chance: From 0.01% to 100% (100 means guaranteed drop).
  • Amount: Fixed (1) or random range (1 3). If the amount exceeds max stack size, it splits into multiple drops.
  • Drop Conditions:
  • always (default): Drops regardless of how the mob dies.
  • player: Only drops if killed directly or indirectly by a player (arrows, tridents, etc.).
• Persistence & Mod Safety: Saved in <world>/potencias/mob_drops.json. Serialized using vanilla ItemStack codecs. If a mod containing a registered drop item is removed later, the rule is safely ignored on startup with a log warning instead of crashing.

📖 Secure Lectern

• A new block identical to the vanilla Lectern in reading, page turning, and comparator output, built for public boards and rulebooks:
  • Creative Mode: Required to place or take out a book.
  • Survival Mode: Cannot be broken while holding a book, and the “Take Book” button is disabled.
  • Public Access: Anyone in any game mode can freely read the book.

💡 Technical Notes

• All command execution and permission checks happen strictly server-side.
• Dedicated in-game screens are used for configuration prompts rather than chat.
• Compatible with Minecraft 1.21.1 under NeoForge.
