Villager Trades Nerf

I made this mod because I think Minecraft’s villager trading system is completely broken. It can be so profitable that it discourages you from actually playing the game.

With this mod, villagers no longer buy your junk for emeralds. Instead, they only sell their items and blocks for emeralds. You’ll need to find other ways to earn emeralds and prices have been changed to reflect this.

Works with both vanilla and modded villagers.

Features

• No more emerald farms. Buys like 32 sticks → 1 emerald become sells, with shop-sized stacks
• Vanilla professions and wandering traders use a custom catalog: materials, food, and tools for emeralds
• Enchanted books: cheap books become more expensive, expensive books become cheaper, mid-range prices stay the same
• Enchanted gear still rolls the usual table-power enchants, that power barely moves the emerald price
• Modded or unknown trades: invert buys, halve emerald costs, and scale 1-emerald block deals by villager level (32 / 24 / 16 / 12 / 8)
