Combat Additions

Combat Additions expands Minecraft combat with new weapons, magic, build customization and endgame challenges.

Rather than replacing vanilla combat entirely, the mod builds on top of it and gives players more ways to shape how they fight.

Whether you prefer heavy armor, fast melee combat, magic, or a mixture of everything, Combat Additions is designed to let you build around your own preferences.

Spellcasting

The mod adds 8 schools of magic, each with three tiers of spells.

Spells range from direct attacks and damage-over-time effects to movement, healing, defensive abilities, summons, and battlefield control.

Players can equip four spells at a time and cast them while holding a staff.

As you progress, you will gain access to stronger staffs, spellbooks, and increasingly powerful spells.

Some spells must be discovered through unique challenges and locations throughout the world.

New Ways to Fight

Combat Additions adds several weapons, each with a distinct role.

The Scythe can specialize in either life-stealing or armor-piercing damage.

The Katana rewards maintaining pressure on enemies and can restore Mana through successful attacks.

The Dagger favors fast backstabbing attacks.

Combat Additions is still being worked on.
