In the dark, every signal matters.

SONARIS is a horror exploration mod that completely changes the way you experience Minecraft. Your ordinary vision is gone, replaced by a lidar device that reveals the world through pulses of light and clouds of points.

Explore unfamiliar places, build a map of your surroundings, and learn to navigate a world where every scan is a risk and every sound can be your last.

Features

Lidar Vision — Discover your surroundings through point-cloud scanning. Upgrade from basic dots to a full semi-transparent sonar view.

Risk & Reward — Hold the scan to overload your device for extra range and density. But if it overheats, you’ll be left blind for 30 seconds.

Tactical Atlas — Your map is built entirely from what you scan. Features 2D/3D modes, smooth zoom, coordinates, and a color-coded legend separating terrain, ores, fluids, and entities.

Tactile Interactions — You can’t see the contents of a chest or a mob’s face. Right-click to feel blocks, or slowly uncover items in containers by touch.

The Hunt — Monsters have evolved. The Snidder hunts by sound and remembers your tricks. The Echo Eater circles from your blind side, waiting for your scanner to go on cooldown. The Bodiless watches you sleep and opens doors only when unobserved.

Spreading Infection — A pulsing lichen colony can grow around your bed. It feeds on death and spawns new Hearts. Break them, and you will have to face the defenders.

The darkness hides more than an unfamiliar landscape. Some things may notice your presence. Others may answer when you least expect it.
