Play every mod in your own language.

Big modpacks are full of menus, tooltips and descriptions that only exist in English. AI Translator reads the language files of your installed mods and translates them into your game language, automatically, in the background. No resource packs to hunt for, no waiting for mod authors, no files to edit.

Why you’ll want it

• Set it up in a minute. Paste an API key and the mod recognizes the provider, picks a suitable model and checks the connection for you.
• Free options included. Use the free tiers of Google Gemini, Groq or OpenRouter (limits set by each provider), or run an AI on your own PC with Ollama or LM Studio. Free, private, no key needed.
• Your choice of AI. Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, OpenAI, Claude, a local AI, or any OpenAI-compatible service.
• Translate once, keep it forever. Translations are cached on your computer. Only new or changed texts are translated again.
• Gentle on your PC. A local AI works in small, steady batches so your game stays smooth. Pick Low, Medium or High impact, and Stop whenever you like. Nothing already translated is lost.
• Move your translations. Reuse them in another Minecraft version or modpack on the same computer.
• Fits where you already look. Settings through Mod Menu on Fabric, plus a page in Sodium’s settings when Sodium is installed.

Private and transparent

• Client-side only. Nothing to install on servers.
• Your API key stays in a file on your computer. The mod never collects data and has no servers of its own.
• Text is sent only to the AI you choose, and the settings screen always shows which address that is.
• Free and open source (MIT).

Good to know

Free tiers have daily and per-minute limits that can slow down very large modpacks. AI translations are good, not perfect: you can always clear the cache and translate again.
