Gallifrey’s Legacy

Gallifrey’s Legacy is a mod that adds the TARDIS from Doctor WHO that aims for accurate systems and complicated mechanics. This is not a traditional TARDIS mod!

Immersive Portals work on the latest versions of IRIS and Sodium, fully tested with Complimentary ReImagined! This mod even works with Veil and Create installed in your modpack alongside everything else!

NOTE: This mod is in beta! Back up your worlds before installing, and please report anything that looks wrong. All current models and textures are temporary for this beta release, they are not final!

Features

 A ship of your own

  – Every TARDIS gets its own private interior dimension
  – Several exterior shells, interior designs and console models, swappable at any time
  – Gravity-aware placement: a TARDIS dropped off a ledge falls
  – An exterior shell can be placed on offsets of 0.25 increments

 Doors that feel real

  – Seamless see-through doorways powered by Immersive Portals
  – Animated door panels, kept in sync inside and out
  – The doorway view matches the outside world: time of day, weather, sky, clouds and fog
  – Solid collision, so a locked TARDIS stays shut
  – Complimentary Reimagined shaders supported

 Flight and the console

  – A hexagonal console where every lever, switch and dial is its own control
  – Ordered takeoff and landing sequences, and customisable flight dances for any pilot level
  – Artron energy across Main, Buffer and Emergency reserves, with craftable capacitors and upgrades
  – Stabilised flight for a calm trip, or Unstabilised flight for speed with flight-dance events to correct.
  – Waypoints, fast return, structure and biome locating, and safe landing that steers clear of lava and walls
  – Real World Flight INSIDE the interior using the scanner thanks to Immersive Portals

 Keys and security

  – Tiered keys for Master, Pilot and Guest
  – A keyring for carrying several keys
  – Lock, rekey and ownership transfer
  – Copper key variants can oxidize over time and be waxed

 Time travel (work in progress)

  – Chronology rewinds the area around your TARDIS to an earlier moment of your world

 Sound design

  – Door, flight and ambient hum audio
  – An in-console Audio Matrix for choosing a sound pack per sound effect

 Hull health and shields

  – A health system that goes down for damage to the exterior in real time
  – Smoke and fire particles for when the TARDIS gets severely damaged or dies
  – Real world flight goes off course when hull is damaged
  – Fire and Cloister Bell effects that dynamically adapt based on conditions

For creators & modpack makers

  – Add exteriors, consoles and interiors with a datapack, a vanilla structure .nbt file, or an addon mod
  – Portals and collision resize automatically from your GeckoLib model
  – Custom door designs per shell, including single-door shells

Requirements

– Minecraft: 1.21.1
– Loader: NeoForge 21.1.150 or newer
– Required: Immersive Portals for (Neo)Forge 6.0.7, Cloth Config API and GeckoLib 4.8+
– Optional but recommended: Sodium 0.6 or 0.8, and Iris 1.8+ for shader packs

Install the mod on both the client and the server.

Known incompatibilities: OptiFine, Oculus and NeOculus. Sinytra Connector sometimes works.
